The Knowledge of Evil

September 10, 2025
00:00

Because of the Fall, mankind’s knowledge of evil is more than intellectual, it is sadly experiential.

Guest (Male): Open the Bible with Colin Smith.

Colin Smith: God's first law, like all of his commandments, was a wonderful expression of his love. You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat. See, Adam and Eve already knew about good, but there was another reality out there called evil, and God says, I don't want you ever to experience it. But Adam and Eve felt that they'd like to have this knowledge of evil, and we've all lived with it ever since. You know, every command that God gives is an expression of his love.

Harm will come to you from breaking his law, and good will come to you from keeping it, irrespective of the cost.

Guest (Male): Is there someone in your life who needs to know the God of the Bible and might be open to take a journey through the Bible with you? Invite them to open the Bible .org.
