The Glory of Jesus Christ
Part of the glory of Christ is that He has life in Himself which the Father granted to Him.
Guest (Male): Open the Bible with Colin Smith.
Colin Smith: Your life is a gift from God that came through the union of your father and your mother. Without them, you wouldn't exist. Only God has life in himself. He's the only being who does not depend on anyone else.
But Jesus says, "As the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself." Now, notice that Jesus did not say, "The Father has life in himself and the Son has life in himself." That would mean that there are two Gods.
No, Jesus said, "As the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself." The Father and the Son share the one eternal life of God. Now, that should give you a glimpse of the glory of Jesus.
Guest (Male): Are you open to learning the Bible story? Well, then come to openthebible.org.
