If the Son Were Not God
If Jesus were not God, He would not be able to tell His disciples, “If you have seen me you have seen the Father.”
Guest (Male): Open the Bible with Colin Smith.
Colin Smith: On one occasion, Philip said to Jesus, “Show us the Father and it is enough for us.” Jesus replied, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” I have a brother in England. He's like me in some ways, but very different in others. I couldn't say, “If you've seen me, you've seen my brother,” but Jesus says, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.”
To know Jesus is to know the Father. To love Jesus is to love the Father, and to trust Jesus is to trust the Father. The Father has given all judgment to the Son that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The Father is well pleased when you love and trust His dearly loved Son.
