Christianity Stands or Falls on This Claim

The claim of the Bible is that God’s Word is true. We can stand on that claim because Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Colin Smith: Nobody has the right to say that you should be a Christian because your parents are Christians or because Christianity is the dominant religion in your culture. No, Christianity stands or falls on the claim that it is true. And that’s what the Prophet Elijah told God’s people: “If the Lord is God, follow Him.”

Elijah’s statement assumed categories of truth and error, but the people found it very difficult to think in these terms. They’d been brought up with the idea that the God you worship is simply a personal choice and that all of us must worship in our own way. But before you can worship, you need to know the truth about God. Authentic worship is a response to revealed truth.

Guest (Male): Is there someone in your life who needs to know the God of the Bible and might be open to take a journey through the Bible with you? Invite them to openthebible.org.
