Why We Don’t Need Any Other Prophets Today
In former times, God spoke in a variety of ways and through many different means, but once Jesus came, God spoke to us through His Son. And Jesus has given us everything we need.
Guest (Male): Open the Bible with Colin Smith.
Colin Smith: Down through the centuries, God spoke his word through the prophets. But in the fullness of time, God sent his son. The word became flesh and dwelt among us. The prophets heard the word of God, but Christ is the word of God. See, Jesus is more than a prophet. He claimed what no other prophet would ever dare to say. I and the Father are one. Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. Everything God has to say to you is expressed in Jesus Christ. And that's why we don't need any other prophet today. God spoke in the past by the prophets.
They were all pointing to Jesus, and it's through him that we can come to the Father and have peace with God.
