About Baruch: R. Baruch is the senior lecturer at the Zera Avraham Institute based in Israel. He also appears on the Israeli Television program Pdut L'amo where he teaches each week from the Bible (This program is in Hebrew).
A similar Bible-study program in English and several other languages is broadcast on numerous television networks across North America, including Canada, Central America and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Never doubt God. The Bible says very clearly, God cannot lie. Therefore, one who is wise, a true believer is going to want to base his or her life upon the word of God. So again, never doubt God. I do not know why so many people do not believe what God has said, for example, and First John chapter five and verse 13. John writes down these words, he says, I've written to you, that you will believe in the name of the Son of God, believing in the name, knowing his identity, who Messiah is, and what he has done, gone to that cross, that He has been raised from the dead victoriously so that you might believe in the name of the Son of God, and through believing that you will know here that, that you will know that you have eternal life.

We had seen last week how Joshua being told by the Lord that he was coming to the end of his life. And like his predecessor, Moses, what did he want to do? He wanted to influence those who would remain, especially that next generation, that he as long as he had breath within him, that he would be an example of what it means to do just that, to serve the Lord.

Would you like to have less difficulties and problems and frustrations in your life? There's a very simple solution. Agree with God. Make your expectations upon the promises of God. Now, that doesn't mean that everything is going to be easy. But whatever you encounter that's difficult. You won't have to deal with it alone. When you are walking in trust and faith, that spirit, his spirit will be upon you, you will be living under his anointing.

Psalm 89 is a Psalm of worship, have confidence in God and knowing that God will help his people overcome. Because of that we should always be people of great gratitude. Now, we began this song last week, and God willing, we will conclude it this week. Take out your Bible and look with me to that at night Psalm, we saw that the author was a man by the name of a tongue. That name means strong and powerful, and is called as Rafi which means one who is a citizen.

We serve and we believe in a sovereign God. But the problem is this. Many people are confused or simply wrong in what they believe that means a sovereign God. Now every believer should accept that God is sovereign. But we need to understand that in the biblical way, God is sovereign. But that does not mean that everything that happens in this world, that God's the cause of it. See, some people teach this. If God's sovereign, then if anything happens outside of his will, that affects it threatens his sovereignty, not at all. This sovereign God is free to allow sin. He is not the cause of sin. He does not participate in sin. God cannot be tempted to sin and nor God tempts others to sin. God is never connected to sin.

Make no mistake about it. The God of Scripture is a God of vengeance. What does that mean? Simply that God will judge sin. The cross is a great example of that, where God's judgment fell upon Messiah, where he took the sins of the world upon himself. And the cross shows how serious God is in judgment. But there's good news, if you accept Messiah and His death upon that tree.

When we look at some of the great leaders of God's people, they have something frequently in common. And that is that God reveals to them that they are approaching death. And I believe one of the reasons for that is to show us how they did not think about themselves. They did not grieve that they were ending their life, but rather, they took that knowledge in order that they might serve God and serve His people by imparting truth to them.
