Make no mistake about it. The God of Scripture is a God of vengeance. What does that mean? Simply that God will judge sin. The cross is a great example of that, where God's judgment fell upon Messiah, where he took the sins of the world upon himself. And the cross shows how serious God is in judgment. But there's good news, if you accept Messiah and His death upon that tree.

One of the most important doctrines found in the Bible and believe me, it's found there is the virgin birth. If you are going to experience redemption, you need to affirm that is you need to believe that Messiah entered into this world through a virgin. Why is that so important because the virgin birth is inherently connected to his divinity. If someone denies the virgin birth, what they are denying is the divinity of Messiah. And if you deny the identity of Messiah as a son of God, you haven't believed in a biblical Messiah.

In this world, there is conflict between individuals. We see all the time that relationships are broken, there is stress, there's tension between people. And that's unfortunate. But sometimes it's simply the matter of fact, that someone has done something wrong, they have offended us, and we are angry, we are hurt. And that that connection that we had isn't the same. Chapter Two defines for us, the day of the Lord. Now God is good, he is faithful. And his faithfulness is seen in covenantal relationship. I've said, Never overestimate the importance of having a covenant with God, especially that new covenant. But as we look at chapter two of Zephaniah, we're going to see that the day the Lord is a course, not for believers, and not for Israel.

When one comes before the word of God, this one should come submissively not trying to figure out what God is saying. What he meant is this really something that's important to him we're not, we should simply listen to what the Word of God says. And then believe it and implement it into our life. That is how we learn the truth of God.

I'm sure you've heard about the term predestination. There is a major difference between biblical predestination and theological predestination. Now, in actuality, they should be one in the same but they're not. When we usually think about predestination, the name John Calvin comes to mind and what's known as Reformed theology. And what do they say about predestination? Well, what they teach cannot be found in the Scripture at all.
