You’ve no doubt heard the expression “If you want to stop digging the hole that you’re in put down the shovel.” It’s sounds so simple and yet when it comes to life why is it so hard for so many? Pastor James Kaddis continues today in the book of Revelation. In chapter nine we hear of the future judgments coming to this earth and despite all the torment the people experience they still won’t change. They won’t put the shovel down. There’s a lesson there for us.

The worst earthquake, the worst flood, the worst Pandemic, none of them compare to what lies ahead for those who have rejected the Lord. Along with this is the good news that we don’t have to experience any of it, as long as we have given our lives over to Jesus Christ.

And today we’ll notice that he focuses on a scroll in the right hand of the Father. The question is asked, Who is worthy to open the scroll? Pastor James is in Revelation chapter four today. The central focus in this chapter is the throne of God. Really all of creation revolves around the throne. Jesus is Lord and in control, working all things together according to His will and good purposes.
