Candace Long: I'm Candace Long with Lessons in the Latter Days, offering biblical commentary to make sense of the times that we're living in. Today's episode begins a difficult two-part series. It's called 2025: The Year We Became the Days of Noah. Today in part one, you're going to see the doors that we opened to the Nephilim.
One thing that I hear over and over is: what has happened to our country? I don't understand how it has gotten so bad. This downward spiral did not happen overnight, but over 70 years. Not only did we allow the invasion of the Nephilim, but we have paved the way for their culture to become enmeshed with a way of life that many of us held dear.
As you listen, I want you to take special note of how many Torah violations we have permitted on our watch as stewards of the world's most admired country. Interestingly, it has taken 10 years to understand this particular episode and be able to write it. As a chronicler of these times, the Lord gives me difficult writing assignments, and this has been one of them.
Over the last month, I was very disturbed by something I saw in a dream. And as I struggled to find the best way to communicate the warning, the Lord took me back to a dream I had in 2015 and reminded me about the biblical doors that we opened back then, which we're seeing the fruit of now, 10 years later. Meaning that it has taken 10 years to transition into the last stage of what I believe can now be described as the Days of Noah.
I want to accomplish three things in this episode, part one. First, I'll share the initial dream from 10 years ago and biblically break it out using Hebraic principles. Number two, I'll pinpoint the many Torah violations that opened the door then for the Nephilim to take root in our culture. And finally, I'll offer commentary on what I believe the Lord was saying through this first part and leave you with some important considerations to ponder before we dive into part two.
Before I begin, though, I need to say something to my fellow Levites. And I'm referring especially to those involved in ministry arts, such as singers, dancers, musicians, and worshipers who may be experiencing unusual and disturbing physical problems. You see, Levites are extremely sensitive to spirit. God created us this way so we can recognize the presence of God and remain there.
That's a great thing. But there is a negative side to this gifting. Just as we can sense the presence of Holy Spirit, we can just as easily be influenced by unclean spirits. This can tell us what is going on in the atmosphere, and this is a great gifting if you understand how to walk in it.
Let me explain. Because of the overload of wickedness in today's atmosphere, it is not uncommon for ministers to experience health crises. One of my friends ended up in the hospital because of vertigo and feeling unbalanced. Another developed pneumonia and suddenly couldn't breathe. Another ended up in the ER with accelerated heart rhythm. Others were debilitated with back spasms and were flat on their back.
Now, if you identify with being a Levite and have suddenly been hit with something that seems to have come out of nowhere, first, look at your body as to what you are experiencing, because the Lord sometimes asks us to carry that symptom as a message for a season. He told Ezekiel in chapter 12, "You dwell in the midst of a rebellious people. I have made you a sign."
Now, Ezekiel was called to act out through his body a message that God had for the people. So, if you're experiencing something scary, I encourage you, first of all, check it out and see if there is a real physical issue you need to pay attention to. But also look at the symptom itself metaphorically and ask the Lord if he is saying something through your symptoms, such as: this is a time when the atmosphere is unsettling, throwing us off balance; when the season of his coming is accelerating and our hearts are racing because spirits of fear and anxiety are running rampant.
You see, the Father often uses real symptoms to drive us into his word in search of perspective so that you can not only calm yourself, but you become a voice of reason and wisdom for others. Here's the initial dream I had in December of 2015, which I titled Mixed Seed.
As the scene opens, I am talking with a gay couple, two men that are about to be married. They are eating a strange dish, something like clams marinara or something I had never heard of. The focus of the dream, though, is centered around an unusual-looking pet belonging to one of the men that goes absolutely bonkers over this strange food, devouring it as soon as he smells it.
Now, we are rather amazed that this creature has such a strong appetite for something so weird. And that was basically the dream. And it is loaded with meaning. Here are nine observations I had then about the dream. Number one, let me provide context first for the dream's timeline. I had it in December during the Hebrew month of Kislev, which is known as the month of dreams because 10 dreams are featured in our Torah portions during this month, all in Genesis, including Pharaoh's dream.
So, the season itself was ripe for God saying something through a dream. Secondly, the dream took place five months after the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage, which was in June of 2015. I was working in Washington, DC, at that time, and I vividly recall writing in my journal how grieved I felt over this ruling. It was an overwhelming sadness, as if the United States had crossed over into a point of no return.
Number two, where was I, the dreamer, in the dream, and what was my purpose? Now, this is one of your first questions. Was I an observer, a participant, or the recipient of the action? In other words, was the dream happening to me? In this dream, I was an observer. I was witnessing unusual things, none of which would be considered normal.
Number three, I wrote down what stood out to me in the dream. God always highlights in some way what to pay attention to, and typically these are things that don't make sense. Number four, I listed three things. Number one: two men who had a longing for one another. Number two: a weird-looking animal that these people treated as a pet, not like a dog or cat, but an animal I had never seen before. And third: a strange food that somehow gave off an unusual pull or attraction.
Number five observation: what did these three things have in common? I wrote down that each of them was outside the normal traditional biblical concepts of love, marriage, pets, and food. Number six, always pay attention to your inner knower. Some people call it their gut. And write that thing down. When I woke up from this dream, I had the sense this was a very important dream, which made me look deeper.
Number seven, keep your spiritual ears alert because you will sometimes hear something in your spirit. That particular day, the word "inordinate" surfaced in my mind. I had to look it up to confirm what it meant. And the word appears in both the Old and New Testaments. The Hebrew word for inordinate is agabah, which means to be obsessed with, to dote over someone or something other than God.
In the Old Testament, it's found in Ezekiel 23:11: "She, Oholibah, referring to Jerusalem, was more corrupt in her inordinate love and in her whoredoms than her sister Ohola, referring to Samaria or Northern Israel." Now, in the context of this passage, Jerusalem was falling all over themselves to woo Babylon, believing that country was strong and powerful and could save them from their enemies rather than looking to the Lord alone.
Now, let me say something here because we find ourselves now in a similar situation with the present turmoil in Israel. Be extremely attentive to who Israel considers strong enough to come help them or save them in their present war. If they look to a current leader or a particular nation, even if it's the United States, that's what is meant by inordinate. They would be falling all over themselves and our leader rather than the Lord.
We should never try to insert ourselves as a savior to Israel or claim that we can fix or brilliantly negotiate their way through this crisis. If we do this, we would become complicit and reap the same kind of curses that God poured out on Babylon.
Let's turn now to the New Testament. In Colossians 3:5, Paul instructs the new believers in how to live and remain blameless when we appear before Messiah. He writes, "Mortify therefore your members," which means to kill or deaden the evil desires which are upon the earth. "Fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence..." which means a longing for something that is forbidden.
Now, we are seeing concupiscence almost every day, it seems, where someone in ministry or high up in public service gets caught up in a pedophilia ring, and we shake our heads at how this could happen. This is concupiscence, a magnetic pull that comes from the Nephilim. It is not natural, it is not normal, and God was showing me something about it in this dream.
I found it unusual that these men were eating or ingesting something that gave off an unusual pull, like a magnet, to some strange creature, which is metaphorical language for Nephilim. And this caused the creature to devour strange food. In other words, there was an inordinate craving for this magnetically charged food.
The eighth observation: when dealing with metaphorical language, there are usually multiple layers of meaning. For example, food does not just mean something you literally put in your mouth and chew. Rather, food, metaphorically speaking, refers to that which we depend on for survival. When Jesus said, "I am the bread of life that comes down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever..."
Now, he's not encouraging cannibalism here. He's saying that when we partake of or feed on his presence, our souls will be sustained and nourished eternally. So, in this dream, we see a different kind of food that gives off a strange magnetic-like pull to behavior that is forbidden by God.
This final observation in my journal was the light bulb moment, and this is what happens when the spirit of understanding is at work. When you dig in and all of a sudden, you feel like spiritual light floods into the body and brings understanding. I received this kind of revelation in how these three things were connected in the dream and what it meant. The bottom line was I was able to identify the food. It's what we know today as genetically modified.
The term GMO stands for genetically modified organism, caused by mixing DNA from multiple species. The biblical concept of mixed seed is abhorrent to God and violates the Torah in four very clear ways. Violation number one involves the law of the seed. Every seed contains an embryo, and within the embryo of every living thing is divinely appointed genetic material that broadcasts 24/7 what that seed is to become.
A corn seed does not have an identity crisis within itself. It was created, purposed, and destined to be corn. Its identity was set and established, and inside the seed, there is an inherent peace and rest because it knows what it is. This is the foundational building block of all creation, and it's found in the book of Genesis.
Each created thing was given a name and a purpose. Therefore, to play God and do what we think is best with his creation outside of his created order is a grievous, grievous sin. It is this law that God used to put me back together after losing almost everything in 9/11. I devoted an entire episode to it called The Law of the Seed, and I'll put a link to it in the description notes to this episode.
Violation number two involves the law of the kind. This agricultural principle is found in Genesis when Moses wrote the phrase "according to its kind" 17 times in seven verses. This is significant. God commanded every living thing to multiply according to its kind, which in Hebrew means to portion out as a species. God had an amount and an apportioning of each kind in order to balance the needs of nature that he established.
Violation number three involves the law of mixing of seeds. We find this in Deuteronomy 22 and Leviticus 19. Here's what we read about what God thinks about mixing DNA: "You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed," and "You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed." God is a purist. Each kind has its own light, purity, understanding, and purpose. And to honor the kind is to honor God as creator of the universe.
Violation number four involves the law of the purity of the kind. God requires that everything be pure with no defilement. Every seed was to be without blemish. And what we have done in creating GMO seeds is to create a blemish in every seed, therefore making these seeds defiled. Here's what happens when a DNA strand from one species is inserted into another to make it genetically modified.
On a cellular and biochemical level, scientists literally bombard and force a strand from one organism into the unsuspecting wall of a separate organism that God created. Now, this is a cellular form of rape. I strongly believe that what we are doing to God's creation is the root cause of why we are seeing increased numbers of rape and assault cases every year. God is bringing upon us what we do to his creation every single day.
This is how God brings judgment. It's called middah keneged middah, which is Hebrew for the concept known as measure for measure. God is absolutely just. He does to us in exact measure what we have done to him. We are reaping what we have sown. Let me leave you with three takeaways as to what God was saying back in 2015.
Takeaway number one: he told us exactly what opens the door to magnetically pull sexually perverse behavior into our culture, and it has to do with the food that we eat. The dream shows us the correlation between what we ingest and the defiling behavior that will follow.
If we accept genetically modified food as our dietary way of life, he told us point-blank a door will open to sexually perverse behavior, eventually leading us to be identified with the mixed seed culture. But with God, we always have a choice. We don't have to go along with this culture. He gives us the freedom to choose, and he gives us the freedom to separate from a wrong culture. But that decision will cost you.
Takeaway number two: he showed us how to take a stand and separate ourselves from this perverse culture. Our first decision is to refuse as much as humanly possible to eat GMO foods. A lot of people grow their own food, and frankly, this is not my strength. But I have chosen to buy organic and support local farmers who do not produce food from genetically modified seed.
As I said, the decision to abide by God's laws will cost more. We have to sacrifice to say, "Lord, I choose to honor your laws of food production. Remember me for the sacrifices that I'm making." And takeaway number three: we separate ourselves unto him even more when we return to the Torah and examine the two passages where we find the kosher laws.
These are the foods that God considers clean to eat and what he defines as unclean. You'll find them in Leviticus 11, and it's repeated again in Deuteronomy 14. Let's look at Leviticus 11:8 as an example, where he discusses swine, commonly known as pork: "Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. They are unclean to you."
Now, this doesn't mean that pigs themselves are unclean, because they are a part of God's creation and he declared it good. What he is saying is that all of the food coming from them are unclean or defiling to you. He lays out the choice. We can choose God's dietary restrictions or reject them like most Christians and say, "No, God did away with all these laws. This doesn't apply to us anymore."
Now, this is where it gets tough for a lot of people because, let's face it, ham and bacon and sausage are important parts of our diet. All of that would need to go. Just as a personal commentary here, I have been Torah observant in observing kosher laws for many, many years. And I concur with it wholeheartedly, but again, this is our choice.
Now next time in part two, I will fast forward to the recent dream that speaks to what has transpired in our mixed seed culture and how God sees it 10 years later. Between now and then, if you want to do a little study on your own, let me suggest a couple of things. First, read Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. And as you do, keep in mind that two of the seven churches in Revelation that Jesus had an issue with made a practice of eating the wrong foods.
And number two, I want to refer you to a monograph that I produced some years ago concerning the first dream, and it includes all of my resources and a much more extensive backstory. It's called Mixed Seed, and you'll find it in my online store at candacelong.com/store. I'll put a link to it in the notes to this episode, which is called 2025: The Year We Became the Days of Noah, Part One.
You'll find this episode at candacelong.com/podcast. I want to thank you so much for being with me today. I hope you join me next time for part two. I'm Candace Long, and you've been listening to Lessons in the Latter Days. God bless.
