The next time you are in a church or cathedral, a big empty building, or even a wide open field, lift up your voice in praise to the Lord. Sing out a hymn or a worships song; recite a psalm or whisper a prayer. May the praise of the Lord always be on your lips!

When hardship hits, you will want the picture of what’s going on in your life to look complete and understandable. But that may not happen. The puzzle pieces may not fit together. Some may even get lost. Wisdom is not the ability to put the pieces back together again, but trusting the Lord even when you can’t.

Be careful not to judge yourself by your own standards. The Bible calls you to conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the Gospel. As you look into the mirror of God’s Law, you will see that you always fall short. By God’s grace, aim to live a life that reflects the Gospel in everything you do.
