March is Wheelchair Collection Month at Joni and Friends! When you donate a used wheelchair, an inmate in one of 15 prisons across the country will refurbish it to like-new condition. Then your chair will travel overseas to bless a child or adult with a disability. Visit our website to see how you can participate!

When life is hard, and you think your situation is impossible, choose to believe God. Believe that he will give you the grace to endure. Believe that he will strengthen you in Christ. You can rejoice in suffering, but only when you die to self and live to Christ!

When you are going through hardships, nothing is better than having a brother or sister in Christ walk alongside you. You are not meant to suffer alone! If you are struggling, reach out to someone in your church. And if you see someone suffering, extend the hope and comfort of Christ.

Loving your spouse sacrificially is an important principle in any marriage. Giving up wants and wishes on behalf of the other is a way of communicating love and respect. If you are married, ask God to help you look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of your spouse.

Jesus Christ came to preach good news to the poor and proclaim the Lord’s favor, not to execute God’s justice. In his mercy, God is delaying the final judgment to allow many more people to hear and receive the Gospel. Make the most of the time left until the Day of Christ – preach the good news!

When you see a need, follow the example of Jesus, and do all that you can to meet it! Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Defend the cause of the needy. Put the Word of God into action!

God’s Word commands you to give thanks for everything. But surely he does not expect you to thank him for my heartaches and suffering! Yes, even the painful trials in your life are an occasion for thanksgiving. Though you will not feel thankful for those hard things, you can give thanks for them, knowing that they are part of God’s perfect plan for your life.

God loves to take ordinary things – a staff, a cross, a wheelchair – and set them apart for his glory. Consider what ordinary things you may have in your life that you can give to God for his use. He will fill them with new meaning, and fill you with hope in the process!
