Father Tom DiLorenzo: There is a river that flows from God above. There is a fountain that's filled with God's great love. I come to these waters, there is a vast supply. There is a river that never shall run dry.
Oh, we need that river. And Jesus tells us about that river in John's Gospel, a river that flows from the throne of God and the throne of the Lamb. We need that river. Oh, we do. And when we preach the gospel, that river flows so that people would come to salvation.
Guest (Male): Me and Father want to know where were you last night? Me and Father, we were swimming in the river at Glory Night. Last night God opened the heavens for us. Do it again, Lord, for everyone listening. Let the river of God begin to flow into their car, into their house, wherever they were.
We want to invite you next week, don't miss it. God is doing something new in our midst. People being healed, people being filled, people being released of their past so they can walk in the destiny that Jesus has set before them. Where were you last night? Where are you going to be next Wednesday? Are you going to come and are you going to get wet?
Are you going to swim in the river with us so the Lord can take us from glory to glory? Why is the spirit like a river? Because all you got to do is get in and the Lord will take you downstream to the destination he has planned for you.
Father Tom DiLorenzo: Oh, we need that river, I'll tell you. I want to tell the church a secret. That river flows. Oh, it flows from the risen Lord right now. The church needs to know that there is that great river and we can plug into it no matter who we are.
No matter if we're the person who deals with the temperature of the church, or if we are the person that reads as a lector, or we are the person that proclaims the word of God. Oh, there is a river. It flows from God Most High. Oh, there is, and you need to be in the river. Get out of the dry land. Get yourself into the river.
Oh river of God, flow down on me. Oh river of God, come set me free. Oh river of God, come set me free. Oh river of God, come unto me.
Guest (Male): And that river flows from living from the spirit, not from the flesh. But living a life from the Spirit of God where there is an unending supply of God's joy, of God's power, of God's mercy, of God's kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. To be in the river is to not tolerate if it's not happening in heaven, we're not tolerating it on earth.
If it comes from hell, when an evil thought comes, when depression comes, when sickness, when fear, return to sender. We return to sender, we return it back to hell. We live in the spirit, Lord. Let the spirit of revelation come upon our people that we know who we are in Christ.
We know the destiny he has for us, that we are disciplined in what we think, in what we speak, in how we pray, and what we eat, and everything we do. We talk yesterday about Saint Paul saying I discipline myself like an athlete so that I can win the eternal prize. Lord Jesus, let us be Christians and Catholics who are like athletes, disciplining ourselves for the kingdom of God so we can live a life not in the flesh, but splashing around in the river of God.
Father Tom DiLorenzo: I'm going to tell you a secret. We're on the radio, we've been on for quite a while. I want to tell you a big secret. The Lord has gone to people so that they would be on the air, so that they would proclaim the gospel. Oh, I know, I'm not the only one he's come to. He's gone to a lot of them.
Guest (Male): You were the only one in the river. But they said, oh no, I want to stay humble. I don't want to be proud. I'm going to tell you when I'm proud, the Lord trips me. The Lord trips me. It's not about pride, it's about Jesus.
True humility looks like boldness because if I'm humble, I know that I am nothing and God is everything. So through this nothing, God can do everything. Hallelujah. Humility isn't thinking less about yourself, it's about thinking about yourself less.
True humility is obedient to the word of God, obedient to the inspirations of the Lord, doing what God calls you to do. True humility looks like boldness because I'm not relying on the power of man, I'm relying on the power of God. And through him, all things...
Father Tom DiLorenzo: Work together for the good and are possible. They're all possible. You know, there's great heights that God calls us to climb, but we say, well, I'm not worthy. Get over it. No one's worthy. The Lord is worthy, and the Lord living in you is worthy to do great and awesome things because he's worthy.
Don't let your false humility spoil your life. Don't let it spoil your life. God the Father wants to work through you and through you. You are a vessel of the Holy Spirit.
Not only are we here as vessels, we are telling you that hear the word of God. You're a vessel. Let the Lord's water flow through that vessel, bringing salvation to people, bringing health to people, bringing joy to people. Do something for the Lord today. Do something, anything for the Lord today.
Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered. He has plans for your life, and you're the only one that can take those plans and live them out. Get over thinking I'm too sinful. No. Paul was too sinful, killed Christians, but Jesus saved him on the Damascus Road. You're not too sinful, you're not too dark, you're not too evil. Jesus is Lord. Oh yes, get over it.
Let me tell you the story. I have a donut in front of me, and the only thing I'm seeing is the hole in the donut, not the donut itself. Now the donut is life eternal. The hole is nothing. Why do we always, always go into looking at that hole and not at the donut? Why do we always think of the negative and not of the positive, which is the cross? Why?
Let's change today. And who changes us? Jesus. Jesus, pouring out his Holy Ghost. How we need the Holy Spirit. We cannot do anything for God without the Holy Spirit. We need Pentecost to become a reality in our life. Oh yes.
At eleven years old, I received confirmation, but in 1968 when I was 21, that confirmation that I received when I was 11 became alive through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit in 1968 started to flow through me and I kept on saying, more, Lord, more, Lord, more. I'll do anything for you. I'll go anywhere for you.
I love you. And you know what? He sent me. He sent me to places that I would not want to go. But guess what? I went anyway. I went anyway. When God opens a door, you walk through it. You don't say, well, Lord, I think I have a better... No. When God opens a door, you walk through it.
Guest (Male): That's right. Don't be the stumbling block. I am my stumbling block. All I got to do is get out of the way and be radically obedient to the Lord Jesus. I need to be relentless in prayer, relentless in the way I seek after God.
I only got maybe 100 years on this earth. I'm going to 100. I got to maximize every day for the kingdom of God. To die is gain and to live is for Christ Jesus. That's what Saint Paul said. I'd rather be with Christ in heaven but if I'm going to be on this earth, it's going to be for the benefit of the kingdom.
And living in that fulfillment of Christ, it doesn't matter what you suffer, it doesn't matter what you go through because it is all being used for the glory of God. Getting to heaven isn't the sole mission. It's to be fully alive in the power of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating and bringing the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven so that others can be saved, others can be healed, that we can release what Jesus did upon this earth.
You know, we want to be so filled with the spirit that it's oozing out of us. When Jesus was on this earth, the Bible says people were just trying to touch him because the power of God was coming off him. If I can just touch Jesus, I will be healed.
Is the glory of God oozing off you? Because that's the plan with God. You know, there's times where I go into fasts. We talked about this yesterday. I go into fasts and I consecrate myself to the Lord. See, those who want to be a vessel of power, you need to be alone with the Lord in a way of consecration where there's no phone, no TV, no, it's you, the Lord, no food, and the Bible, in the word of God.
Isolation and consecration are two different things. The devil wants you isolated, but you got to be alone with the Lord and hyper-focused on him. You know, the spirit, we spoke about this last night in the spirit realm, it's a push and a pull. What do I mean? We got to dispose ourselves to take down our flesh to receive the blessings of God.
So in the spirit one day maybe we're going to fast for a day or two. And when we fast, we're going to fast not only from food, but we're going to fast from TV, from our phone, from Netflix, from YouTube. And we're going to push into the spirit.
There's days I've spent 8 to 10 hours just alone with the Lord on the couch, on the bed, praying in tongues, reading the word of God. But then, like Isaiah said, those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. So we fast, we pray, we push into the spirit, we pray in tongues.
And then we be silent and we wait on the Lord and we let the glory of God begin to overtake us. We let the glory of God begin to fill us. We let the power of God through the Holy Spirit just begin to overshadow us. You know, the life of the spirit, it's a river. It's not a reservoir. Many people are sick and their bodies aren't right because they're receiving so much from God, from the man of God, but they're not releasing. Are you releasing to other people?
See, when I first came to the Lord, I was receiving so much from God because all I wanted was Jesus. All I wanted was Jesus. And I was in such a war with the devil because he was attacking my destiny. He was attacking what God had for me.
But you know what? Now I'm not in a war, I'm walking in victory. It took me seven years to get there, but I am walking in victory. And that's the destiny God has for you. But at the time, after being filled by God, if I didn't have a platform to preach, I would be sick because it had to come out of me. It just had to come out of me.
So I'd go to McDonald's, I'd go to the mall, I'd just start telling people about Jesus because the river was flowing out. There's no stopping the river. And I asked Father, I said, Father, I need a speaker. I didn't have a platform, so I made my own. And I went to the beach and I preached.
And I went to Salem and I preached. This was before I had the grace to be on the radio speaking to you or preaching in the church. That river needs to flow out of you. As you receive from God, you need an outlet. You need an outlet to give to other people and you just start small and the Lord will build you in a greater and a greater and a greater and a greater way.
If you're just receiving for God and keeping it all to yourself, you're going to be filled with anxiety. You're going to be filled with fear. You're going to be filled with all of these things that God today wants you to release the river. Maybe it just starts with one person on the street, but that's a great start because one soul is more valuable than all the gold in the world.
Father Tom DiLorenzo: I tell you, people are desperate. Oh yes, they are desperate. So many, oh they have a smile, but the smile is fake. People are desperate and they're waiting to hear that God has something for them in Christ Jesus.
And who is it that's going to let them know that? You, me, Anthony, Jessica, all of us. We're going to allow people to hear that God has a plan for them. And I'm going to tell you, it's a very simple thing. If we don't do it, it won't get done. It's as simple as that. If you don't do it, it won't get done.
How did I get my family into the experience of the baptism of the spirit? How did I do that? Well, I'll tell you how I did it. I was living in Everett with my aunt and I was on the phone with people praying all the time. I didn't know she was listening or not listening.
So one day she said to me, "Tommy, I want what you have." Oh, I said, "Auntie Alta, you can have it now." "How?" I said, "We're going to pray that the Lord Jesus going to baptize you in the Holy Spirit." And so we prayed. And guess what? She was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
And guess what she started doing? Oh, she got on the phone calling people. She got the phone anointed, praying with people. Oh, then there's Aunt May. Aunt May came to me one day and she was so that she had taken a nervous breakdown.
That's what happened to her. And she was shaking, not in the spirit, but shaking, her nerves were all gone. And my Uncle Jerry brought his wife to me. Now, what am I to do with Aunt May?
So she comes in and she's shaking with her nerves. So I say to her, "Aunt May, we're going to take a walk into my bedroom." My bedroom in East Boston is the smallest bedroom that you'd ever want to see. So we sat on the bed and I said to Aunt May, "Don't say a word. I'm going to just pray that the Holy Spirit would come upon you."
And so I did. And I said, "Now, Aunt May, you pray with me: Lord Jesus, come into my life. Baptize me in the Holy Spirit." I tell you, Aunt May changed multitudes in Peabody. When someone needed prayer, they'd call Aunt May. She was a prayer warrior.
Things would happen when Aunt May would pray. Oh yes, but it all started in my house when she didn't think she had any power. In my bed as we both sat down and the Holy Ghost came. That's where it all started. It didn't end there. Aunt May had multitudes of people calling her for prayer.
But Aunt May, if you just looked at her, you'd say, "How could God do these things through this old lady?" I tell you she was more than old. She was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Guest (Male): And you know, that was wonderful. Filled with the Holy Ghost. What about you? What about you? I get filled with the Holy Ghost. That's what I want to be filled with. Not words, not people. I want to be filled with the Holy Ghost because it's not about words, it's about demonstration of the kingdom of God that it's here and that it's now.
If I got to tell someone I'm a Christian, I'm not walking in the fullness of what God has for me. When I go to work, I don't tell people I'm a Christian. The coworkers see me preaching the gospel, laying hands on people, praying, a demonstration of the kingdom's power. There's got to be something a little different about us.
You know, Saint Paul said, I want to provoke others to jealousy. People need to want what you have. It doesn't mean I'm always happy or it doesn't mean I'm always the oozing out of me. There's a lot of times I'm sharing in the sufferings of Christ. But it doesn't matter, I'm still demonstrating the kingdom of God. I'm still being obedient to the Lord as he tells me to pray, as he tells me to preach.
My feelings haven't mattered since I came to the Lord. My desires haven't mattered since I got baptized in the Holy Spirit. My plans died that day I was born again because it's no longer I who live but Christ Jesus who lives through me. And he has total permission and authority to do whatever he wants to do with me and my life.
Because without him, I deserve hell, but with him, I have a glorious future. I have a glorious hope. And I'm releasing that to everyone I come across. Again, if you got to tell someone you're a Christian, you're not walking in what God has for you. People should identify you immediately, immediately. This is a man of God. This is a woman of God. This is a person of faith.
This is a person of joy. What is different about them? Their light's got a little glow. Their face got a little color. Their love's got a little heart. Their hearts just radiating with the love of God. Even if I don't feel it, I believe that Jesus Christ lives in me and he radiates off me. Whether I feel great, whether I share in his glory and his suffering, I have faith that the glory of God is being radiated off me.
And anyone who comes into my atmosphere, they're being changed eternally. Because when you walk in a room, when Father walks in a room, all of heaven's coming with him. The angels are coming with them. Healing, love, grace, power, Jesus Christ in them, the hope of glory is coming with them.
Early Christians weren't identified because they said I go to mass on Sunday. They were identified, who are these radical people giving up everything for the Lord, all of their possessions? They walk in power, they walk in love, they've come to institute a new way of living upon this earth to serve God.
You know, Christian means to be a little Christ. Are you a little Christ upon this earth, bringing solutions where there is problems, bringing healing where there is brokenness, bringing order to the disorder, love into the hate? That is what you're called to do.
But it is a life lived in the spirit, not in the flesh. Because in the spirit comes power, in the spirit comes wisdom, in the spirit comes the knowledge of God. We need to be led by the Holy Spirit. Those who are led by the spirit of God are the children of God.
Father Tom DiLorenzo: I want to be a child of God today. Yes, me too. Are you a priest, Father? Yes. But before I'm a priest, I'm a child of God. I've been ransomed by the blood of Jesus. When I was brought to the baptismal font at forty days old, God saved me.
When I was 21, I said to Jesus, I surrender. That life I received at baptism, I surrender. And you know what? The Holy Ghost came. And things began to start happening that I could never have had happen. Oh, I was teaching grade six in a Catholic school.
I was able to tell these children about the power of Jesus Christ. I not only taught them their prayers, I brought them to the one who hears their prayers. And things happened. Things happened. But you see, you've got to get out of yourself. No, you're not too anything.
You need Jesus. And you need Jesus to work in you. And you need to go and proclaim one at a time how wonderful Jesus is. That's what you need to do. And you know what? God, send me one today. Ask him. God, send me one today that I can tell that one how wonderful you are.
And I could pray with that one that you would come and dwell in their heart. That's how it started with me. I wasn't a priest. I taught grade six. But the Holy Ghost changed my life in front of the Blessed Sacrament. I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost way before I even knew that there was a baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Guest (Male): You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And then you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, and to all the ends of the earth. What does Jesus say? You will receive power and then dynamis, which is dynamite, which means you should be explosive to everyone you come across.
And then you will be my witness. You got to get filled with the Holy Ghost so that your cup is so full it's pouring out upon everyone you meet. Hallelujah, I'm saved. God gave me the gift of salvation. But I'm not staying there. That was day one of first grade.
Now I'm moving past it into the greater things that God has for me. The greatest gift that God gave to us is a priesthood to the Lord. We all have a priesthood where we're ministering directly to God. Oh, Lord Jesus, I love you. Oh, Lord Jesus, you are King. Oh, Lord Jesus, fill me with the fire of God.
Fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. Put your words in my mouth, Lord. Put your love in my heart, Lord. Your power in my hands. Your wisdom in my mind. Let me be an empty vessel for you, Lord. I am on this earth to serve you, to love you. You are so good, Father.
We order you, Father. We love you, Jesus. Come, Holy Spirit upon us. See, our first ministry is to minister directly to the Father. And as we minister to the Father, we open a highway between heaven and earth where angels come upon this highway.
The river of God begins to flow from the throne of God that we are filled with the dynamite power of the Lord Jesus Christ. That the wisdom of the Holy Spirit comes upon us. That we no longer just strive for holiness, but divinity. That we are filled with God's divinity and we know things that only God could teach us.
That is the plan for the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, Father, in these last moments, we release the Holy Spirit as you released it last night. That we are people that not only live from the spirit, but from the glory, Lord. I declare healing upon anyone who needs it, mind, body, and soul.
That you begin to baptize them with the power of God, with the Holy Spirit, Lord, so that they are equipped with that dynamite power, Lord, so that they can walk in the good deeds that you have set before them before the foundation of the world. So that they are set on fire so the whole world can watch them burn for you.
Father Tom DiLorenzo: Not by power, but by the Holy Spirit. Not by might, but by the Holy Spirit. Take them. Take them now. God bless you.
