Trust The Lord

July 9, 2012

July 3rd was Heavenly because of beautiful fireworks and the moon that was so bright that I almost saw a rainbow of color around it. I wondered about the coincidence of the last week’s podcast and seeing the actual moon with the rainbow color. It was the first time I have noticed the beautiful moon with rainbow colors on July 3rd of this year. The greatest gift of this nation is the freedom of speech. The greatest sin in our nation is neglecting our true freedom. When we lose the freedom of speech, we are going to lose everything. Please visit our website to see pictures I took of the moon on July 3rd.

Psalm 22;8

"He trust in the Lord," they say, "let the Lord rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him."

Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18) Be Strong In the grace that is in Christ Jesus! (2 Timothy 2:1)

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. (Psalm 119:115)The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one's inmost being.Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure. (Proverbs 20:27-28)No, in all these things we are more than conquerors though him who loved us. (Romans 8:27)Jesus loves you!

As I was getting up at 6:00 in the morning, I just noticed a rainbow light that was reflected from the window. Bright sunlight flowed through, and hit a mirror in my room and reflected on my bed with rainbow colors. It probably was there before, but I never noticed it until today. I cannot describe the beauty of it. I took a picture of it for me to remember. As I opened my manuscript for the next week, I noticed that it was about the covenant of God, the rainbow. When we know God, who is the Creator, is with us intimately, we become calm. In Isaiah 30:15, it says “in the quietness and trust is your strength.” When God delivered Israel from Egypt, the last plague was the most powerful plague. It happened during a quiet moment when every creature was in deep sleep in the middle of the dark night. God did not even use Moses that night. Only people who put the blood of a lamb survived.

Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him.It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak. (Luke 12:35-38)

Let's talk about the powerful word "strength." It contains the meaning of "host," which is an army term. This Psalm was written by the Sons of Korah who served as worshipers with songs. In Israel, the role of singers served a vital role in worship, especially when they entered war. We are not the source of strength. As verse 5 says, "Blessed are those whose strength is in you." God does everything. Our job is to say "Amen" to what He does. Who brought the rain? God! Who stopped the rain? God! Who brought the wind to recede the waters? God!The beauty of living in America is that the Holy Spirit still manifests in many Christians, churches, schools, working areas, communities, and even in our nation. The core value of Christianity overflows in this land. When we trust God again, our strength goes from strength to strength. There is no stopping it. Verse 7 that this will continue until each appear before God in Zion. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. (Psalm 84:7)

We talked about the word, remember last week. We will find scriptures contain this word, zakar,  with a vision in our heart. Having the picture of Jesus standing with a crown on his head and his nailed-- but completely healed -- hand gives us such a victorious picture. It is the symbol of the completion of the work of salvation and the victory over sin and death. With this picture in mind, read the scripture. It makes the power of salvation more clear to us.God remembered Hanah.(1Samuel 1:19)

As I was preparing a message about Noah, I thought of the turtle dove. The meaning of the turtle dove is friendship that we yearn to see in each other. There are several times in the scriptures that turtle doves are mentioned. One of the descriptions is in Genesis 15 when God showed Abraham his covenant. Another time is when Mary and Joseph brought their sacrifice to the temple for the birth of Jesus. A turtle dove was allowed for the sacrifice of the poor. Turtle doves were always presented as a pair. This can represent the friendship between Jesus and us, also us and our beloved one. Our precious loved ones are waiting for us to join them in Heaven, but more so Jesus who loves us so much that he shed his own blood. He is waiting to fellowship with us in Heaven. The pair of turtle doves symbolizes that one is mourning to see for the other who is in the wilderness. Song of Songs describes the love and longing between God and us. There is a mention of the turtle dove. God remembered Noah. (Genesis 8:1)

While I was on the phone I looked outside of window. There sat the mother bird on the top of the canopy. She stood straight up and peered at the tree, looking at her nest. It was a beautiful sight. I went outside and quietly approached the bird. There were two, a beautiful baby and the mother sitting together, hiding from intruders. God wanted me to witness the beautiful scene, because I was about to record the message about Noah. At that moment I felt a rain drop, right on cue. As always, God's timing is impeccable.Noah found the favor in the eyes of the Lord.(Genesis 6:8)

Hebrews 11:34-40And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. I pray that we are encouraged today from the promise of God.

God said "Be Light." (Genesis 1:3) For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians chapter 4:5-6) Jesus said "It is finished." (John 19:30)
