Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

There are numerous promises from God. However, particularly, Romans 8 is like a deed, contract, or in Biblical terms, Covenant. It is a legal document that is sealed by the blood of Jesus. In ancient times, King’s seal is significant. The first seal probably developed from the amulet, whose purpose was to give protection to its wearer or to ward off evil. At one time a seal was believed to have some kind of magical protective power that would bring a curse or harm to the unauthorized person who dared to break it to obtain the contents it protected. Elwell, W. A., & Beitzel, B. J. (1988). Seal. In Baker encyclopedia of the Bible (Vol. 2, p. 1915). Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Book House.

Praise to the Creator and Preserver. Psalm 33 1 Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. 2 Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings. 3 Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. 4 For the word of the LORD is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD. 6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host. 7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. 11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.

We have been celebrating Jesus, Immanuel, which means "God is with us." during the Christmas season. Jesus, as God and human, dwelled among us. The power of God manifests this significant concept in humans. We must meditate on this Good News even after the Christmas season. Without this image of Jesus, we would not have seen God. So what is Christianity? When we see humans transformed by God's power and becoming God-like humans manifested by the Devine love, we see authentic Christianity. This transformation can happen only through the power of God. I am seeking everyday for God’s grace because nothing comes out me is good. As we celebrate our Christmas in 21 Century, the Bible comes alive when we watch the technological integration attempt on humanity. Most of us are aware of technological advancement and the approach of avatars; the unification of avatars and humans is imminent as we approach this new era of humanity. Consequence of the attempt of change of human is that love will grow cold.

I always have a fantasy about American Christmas that I learned from my mother. In South Korea, our Christmas started only a little over 100 years ago. According to https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014/08/12/6-facts-about-christianity-in-south-korea/, "In 1900, only 1% of the country’s population was Christian, but largely through the efforts of missionaries and churches, Christianity has grown rapidly in South Korea over the past century. In 2010, roughly three-in-ten South Koreans were Christian,..." I don’t know somehow; I have this beautiful and warm feeling about Christmas that my mother planted in my heart. As my mother was raised by missionaries, she gave me the heavenly experience of the presence of God especially Christmas time. I think Christmas meant so much especially after Korean war. When we think of it, if there is no Christmas, the birth of our savior, this earth is full of violent, illness and death… hell on earth, most of all, there is no forgiveness. Light up the Christmas light is a symbol of light of the world. Is Jesus reigning in your heart during the Christmas season?

Rev. Jim Harden, CEO of a firebombed pro-life medical office in Buffalo, sheds light on Director Wray’s math: “Director Wray’s 70% statistic paints a false political narrative that pro-life people are engaging in violence. The FBI padded their abortion-related violent crimes with 26 trumped-up indictments of closed cases of peaceful pro-life people under the pretense of FACE Act violations. If one were to add those cases to the 73 actual FACE Act violations against pro-life pregnancy centers, you get a total of 99 cases. 73 of 99 would be as Wray said, ‘in the neighborhood of 70%.’ What an honest FBI Director should have said then is, ‘Nearly 100% of all abortion-related violence is against pro-life organizations.’” Why would Wray want to mislead the public to think there is violence perpetrated by pro-lifers? It makes the FBI appear even-handed instead of politicized. Rev. James R. Harden, M.Div. is the CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services and lives outside of Rochester, NY with his wife and ten children. Rev. Harden pioneered the first measurable and repeatable medical model in the pregnancy center movement, helping hundreds of centers nationwide become more effective at reaching more women and saving more babies from abortion. He has written extensively on medical ethics, executive leadership, and pro-life strategy. Recently CompassCare’s pro-life medical office in Buffalo, NY was firebombed.

Going back to the basic principle help us our mental, emotional and physical health. Rather than spending money and time to fix the problems, prevention is the key for everything. As Christmas season came back, we need to detox from loaded with stuff from China, we must focus on what is important during Christmas season. Materials can not fix our internal problems that we are aching about, which all comes down to relationship. Millennials are most blessed generation as far as materials goes. They are loaded with iphones and technological items, yet most demotivated generation as far as dreams, ambitions and purposes…. Only way rekindle their spirit is God’s spirit to give them purpose of their lives in numb and dying culture with loaded with drugs, yet without hope. I encourage young parents to be strong and keep your children on your side from this vicious cultural wind and soak them with the Bible stories… they will come back.

David Rubin is a former mayor of Shiloh, Israel – in the region of Samaria, which together with Judea, is known to much of the world as the West Bank. He is founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund (SICF) – dedicated to healing the trauma of child victims of terrorist attacks, as well as rebuilding the biblical heartland of Israel through the children. SICF was established after Rubin and his three-year-old son were wounded in a vicious terrorist attack while driving home from Jerusalem. Rubin vowed to retaliate – not with hatred, nor with anger, but with compassion – to create positive change for Israel and its children.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” ― Abraham Lincoln Freedom comes from individuals accepting the freedom God has given us and delegating to God to lead us. But first, we must acknowledge God who he is and ask him for mercy and grace on this land. Free people free others. When we go to a store or restaurant, we often see a sign like "Under A New Management." We now have new leaders. Amazing characteristic of America is, despite the election, we can still practice our freedom. We can still enjoy American culture, laugh, sing, and dance again. So, as the holiday is coming up, let's celebrate the culture of light. We must unite as family and friends to share love, grace, and joy. Let us manifest our internal joy at family, church, and community. Let us go back to the time like when we visited house to house and sang Christmas carols. America is still a beautiful country. So I encourage every American to be proud to be American. America is beautiful. America is gracious. America is fearless.
