Identity: You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

“I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. (NASB) Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11 and Luke 3:22.
We enjoyed unusual rain in Arizona. Last night, Steven and I just went outside and watched the rain coming down. The moonlight reflected the raindrops and created a captivating moment. Don’t we all have the moment like thinking "There got to be a heaven?". Please do not think theologically now whether we believe heaven or not. Some moment is so beautiful that we want to be in that moment forever and thinking the heaven must be like this moment or even better. We sometimes wonder, and then God shows up and confirms His presence to us. Second Peter 1:4 says that only those who believe have been made “partakers of the divine nature.” It is only to those who receive Him that Jesus gives “the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). Thus we can go to God as His beloved children.
