God Covers Us

August 29, 2011

I saw a picture of a mother bird covering her babies under her wings. I mean it was an absolutely beautiful picture. The mother’s determination and her loyalty to her children shows in her eyes. Where can we find that kind of nurturing passion these days? Shall we hide our children under our wing as our Heavenly Father does? I am not talking about the overprotection, but protecting them with prayer and wisdom from God, we have to keep our children secure. They need our protection.   Please go to our facebook Hope Ministry and see this beautiful picture. Our Heavenly Father hides us under his wings as this bird does to her chicks. Enjoy the peace that God is giving you, at this moment. Shalom!

 He will cover you with his feathers,
 and under his wings you will find refuge;
 his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm91:4)

Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most Highwill rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress.God, in whom I trust."  (Psalm 91)Our God is the strong tower and the mighty fortress.Whenever I hear of God’s strong arms saving us, I picture a general’s muscular arms. But it could mean that the strong and loving arms that hung on the cross saved us.

Ladies! You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God and you are raising children who are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator. God gave them to us to raise them with God’s character. Loving our children starts from the valuing ourselves through the eyes of God. As  many families are going through various difficult times, we often ask why God allows us those difficult times. God is at work, not just individually, but corporately. God is preparing some things ahead of us. Whenever the Holy Spirit moves in a mighty way; God is either up to harvest or spiritual war. Before he does any work, he prepares us to be flexible, be strong in the Lord and have his fragrance. Here is Psalm 91 on which I would like for us to meditate. If we can find the treasure here, we are blessed.

 I remain confident of this:  I will see the goodness of the LORD  in the land of the living.  Wait for the LORD;  be strong and take heart  and wait for the LORD. (Psalm 27:13-14) David described in Psalm 27:13-14;" I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of living." He did not say after death. God actually shows his mercy in the land of living today when we seek him. Until Jesus comes, we will see the goodness of the Lord in this land of living, which means in the places where it seems there is no hope. If we have hope for other country, we should not lose our hope for our nation, America, the land of grace.

The LORD watches over you.The LORD is your shade at your right hand;The sun will not harm you by day,Nor the moon by night. (Psalm 121:5-6) The word, ‘Watches over’ is שָׁמַר shamar in Hebrew and means keep, observe, heed, keeper, preserve, beware, mark, watchman, wait, watch, regard, save.  The power of love is so radiant that it illuminates our being inside out. We arrive at the shore of joy that the world cannot offer. The joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10. I hope that we will meditate on these words of God during the whole week and let it resonate in our soul. The words of God are more powerful than any abuse done to you. His love is stronger than any hurt that scared you. Be filled with the Holy Spirit, he will heal you and satisfy you. Seek him; he will meet with you wherever you are. Are you listening alone? Ask Jesus come into your heart, he will shine in you and drive fears away. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. May God bless you through his word with his love.

Five in the morning I got up and started to run. I did not know a party was going on for wild animals. Quail families and wild rabbits were running around and making their own cheerful noises. I have never realized quails can be so loud. It literally sounded like a big block party. It might sound weird, but I had to laugh just watching those animals and how they interact with each other. It was so much fun to watch. Later in the morning bobcat kittens were slowly roaming around our backyard. If a sinful human can look at them with loving eyes, how much more does our loving heavenly Father look at us with his loving eyes. If you meet a sour person, love them no matter what. Sourness may become sweet. If you meet a bitter person, love them anyway, bitterness may become sweeter than honey. I picked figs from a fig tree in our back yard. Some of them was not sweet as the fully ripe one’s. But most of them were sweet. And then I cut it in half of the fully ripe one, I saw a pink heart in the middle. To me, fig is one of the most delicious fruits. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. ( Rev. 21:4)

Nathan means “giver” and came from נָתַן . One of many meanings of nathan in Hebrew is “give”. Actually Nathan was a gift from God for David. But when God confronted David, God used Nathan in a gentle way. Accusation is different than confrontation. When we are accused, we feel condemned, but when we are confronted by the Holy Spirit, God allows us to repent and we become closer to God. The Holy Spirit is God’s breath, his love. It is like a father holding a child close when they fall on the ground. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.(Isaiah 40:8)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-11) July 4 is a significant day for America. We should not forget what God has done for us. Freedom to worship God has to be sincerely appreciated. I thank God that I can worship God freely. I thank God that he is still with us." The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; the Gentiles will hope in him."May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. ( Romans 15:13)

Our God is still at work. All we have to do is line up with what he is doing and be alert. Thank God for the adversity in the time of difficulties. He will sustain our heart with supernatural peace. I thank God for his adversity in my life so I can be closer to him. If it takes adversity to know more about him, the adversity is blessing. We wait in hope for the Lord: He is our help and our shield.In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you. (Psalm 33:20-22) Hope is in this text יָחַל  yachal ,is used  in words hope, wait, tarry, trust, variant, stayed. Waiting for God to work can come only from trusting God. Hope is waiting, trusting for God to do the work. Let's enter the inner room and meet our King. He is our only HOPE.

Visiting cities in Alaska was unique and different for someone who lives in Phoenix. While we were on the trip, we were blessed to listen to a speaker who has clear biblical values in his life,  a man who lives it and applied it in his home State. We were with Governor  Mike Huckabee and listening his sermons while we were on the trip. Various Gospel singers, a comedian and a puppeteer were sharing the love of God, each in very different ways.   " Scripture teaches that a woman has great value and that such value is often expressed by the way a woman speaks the truth about her God, raises and trains her children and loves and cares for her husband in a mutually dependent relationship. Such an image has become the target of an assault by many feminists in modern-day culture." Braxton Hunter www.bpnews.net
