Darwinian Racism Part I by Richard Weikart

February 13, 2022

Darwinian Racism: How Darwinism Influenced Hitler, Nazism, and White Nationalism To hear some tell it, Adolf Hitler was a Christian creationist who rejected Darwinian evolution. Award-winning historian Richard Weikart shows otherwise. According to Weikart, Darwinian evolution crucially influenced Hitler and the Nazis, and the Nazis zealously propagated evolutionary theory during the Third Reich. Inspired by arguments from both Darwin and early Darwinists, the Nazis viewed the “Nordic race” as superior to other races and set about advancing human evolution by ridding the world of “inferior” races and individuals. As Weikart also shows, these ideas circulate today among white nationalists and neo-Nazis, who routinely use Darwinian theory in their propaganda to advance a racist agenda. Darwinian Racism is careful history. It is also a wake-up call.

Richard Weikart is professor of modern European history at California State University, Stanislaus, and Senior Fellow at Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture. He has written six previous books, including From Darwin to Hitler, Hitler’s Ethic, The Death of Humanity, and Hitler’s Religion. He has lectured at many universities and other venues in the US and Europe. He has been interviewed on dozens of radio shows, podcasts, and TV, as well as appearing in seven documentaries, including “Expelled” with Ben Stein. Some of his lectures and interviews are available on youtube.

Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

"As Burns (1992:26) describes it: Transforming leadership ultimately becomes moral in that it raises the level of human conduct and ethical aspiration of both leader and led, and thus it has a transforming effect on both." oxfordre.com/internationalstudies Courageous followers can be the greater leaders who can confront leaders heading in the wrong direction. In a more prominent role as courageous followers, journalists can have a significant role in directing leadership.

"Liquidity Explained Assets and investments your company owns have financial value. And liquidity indicates how quickly you can access that money, if you need to. Assets range in their liquidity. For example, you may have equity in a building your company owns. But that equity is not very liquid because it would be difficult to convert it to cash to cover an unexpected and urgent expense. On the other hand, inventory that you expect to sell in the near future would be considered a liquid asset." (www.netsuite.com) One of the most critical parts of finance is managing liquidity. As the US opened the free market to the world, what the world is facing is somewhat different than the expectation or planned. Foreign investment is only profitable when the liquidity is always possible with the convenience. It does not matter how advanced our technology in finance, the common sense or human nature does not change.

Why does history matter? Why does personal history matter in human behavior? Why does a person act and behave in a certain way? Usually, when a leader acts in a certain way, there are reasons behind his or her behavior. We all reap the consequences of the leader’s behavior. The world was heading to the One World system yet facing the challenges of the past. Can we overcome our past and accept the One World system that we believe the perfect peace, perfect military balance, or economic equality reign on this earth? History repeatedly proved that any leader who feels injustice in any form would break the pursuit of oneness unless human nature changes inside out.

Who are we becoming? Slowly, we are losing our unique flavor of being American by uniformity. We can not even recognize the slow transition. I am an American citizen, but sometimes, I view and speak as an observer. The matters that we are experiencing today are not new at all. It just repeats because humans are the same generation to generation. It starts from the messages. The messages of lies are pervasive to the human heart and invade the nation's minds who is about to receive the changes. "We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving Grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!" ~ Abraham Lincoln (mid 1800) “A prudent question is one-half of wisdom.” Francis Bacon (Late 1500) Each generation needs to learn to question.

As I live longer in America, I learn more and more about American life... Positive, uplifting, and encouraging life despite difficulties. We take hardship as a challenge. It does not mean we do not cry or are not angry but keep on walking forward for the best of what we have and time on earth. Drugs or painkillers should not replace the joy we can have from natural challenges like surfing or rescuing the vulnerable, saving others in a hopeless place. These kinds of attitudes and life define Americans, unique in spirit. So let us find ourselves back again. Isaiah 40:30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
