A Gold Plated Plate

March 22, 2010
This story is just about a plate.
But Our Heavenly Father replaced our sin and death with His precious Son’s righteousness.
There is no way to measure of the value of His Son, Jesus Christ.
He said "He loves you". You are that precious to God and valuable to Him.
Would you come closer to Him and be held by His love today?

Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

"Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. " When God forgave us, who can condemn us? Believing the forgiveness from God even releases us from the condemnation from people around us. God’s desire is for us to draw near to Him.

The more I experience the love of Jesus, the purer God makes me. Being Holy is experiencing God’s love and we become ‘love’ as God is love. When we love others as Christ did, God sees us as holy. Our faith is made complete in God’s love. All our mistakes and failures will be covered when we cover others failures and mistakes with God’s grace. I find that ‘being holy’ is not a legalistic term, but it is completing in us the language of God’s love -- by living the life of Christ, and loving others as he did. Sometimes it requires many tears, but joy comes in the morning.

Joshua 3, This is how Israel crossed the Jordan River. The Ark of the Covenant is a symbol of Jesus Christ. Only by the blood of Jesus, can we cross the Jordan River in our life. When we believe in Jesus, and trust Him, we can cross the Jordan River. Heavenly Father, we love you, please help us to cleave to the cross, nothing else.

It is God who sanctifies us through our repentance. Repentance is not just regret, nor is it just stopping what we are doing wrong and turning from our wicked way. It is more than that. It is turning our heart to Our Heavenly Father. It is reconnecting of our love relationship with our God and receiving eternal life through his love. Other religions also teach to turn from wrong doing and try to do right or live right, but it is like a hamster in a wheel. There is no loving God who is waiting for us. But in Christianity, there is God, Heavenly Father, waiting to accept us. Real repentance is knowing how deeply we’ve hurt God and then experiencing the sorrow and responding to it. We take up the cross and follow Jesus to let others know how much God loves us in response to the love He has shown us at the cross. We do it because God’s love compels us to.

Philippians 3:13-14: “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” There is no one who can stand before God and say, "I have lived a perfect life and ran the perfect race." We all fall short of the glory of God. How we live our lives after our fall or recognized the fall is more important. There were many characters in the Bible who had fallen, but God has constantly showed His grace to those who have fallen. God will give you the same grace to you!

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." What is 'good' in this passage? What is the purpose of God that He works for the good of those who love him? Verse 29 says "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his son…" We get to be restored to be conformed to the likeness of his son when we believe Jesus is our Lord. We get to be restored to the status when God created us before the fall when we love God through Jesus Christ. We become a child of God. And God sees Jesus in us and says'‘it is good' as He said at the creation.

Psalm 145:13 says: "The Lord is faithful to all His Promises and loving toward all He has made." Let's remember this Christmas season that God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to us as He promised. This is a time of celebration to honor the Son of God born to us. Without this day, we would have absolutely no HOPE. Let's celebrate this day with Holiness in our heart, without idolatry. He will return soon, just as he promised. It is time to be alert and get busy for the salvation of our loved ones. When there is still freedom in this nation, we ought to be a diligent servant of God, sharing the Good News to all.

Our Heavenly father will call us soon, 'Let's go, let's go home'. When we hear this voice, we know it is time to go home, our permanent home, heaven, either by physical death or by rapture. But in the meantime, look to the Heavenly father and give him a big smile as many times as you can. He will smile back at you. Whatever and wherever you have been, His love for you is so big you cannot measure it. He bought you with His most precious son, Jesus Christ, the most important treasure for him. That's how precious you are in His eyes.

Throughout the bible, we can read about God alone, who has worked salvation for him. Jesus died for us and rose again and sent us His Spirit. And we will go to Him again. This event is the permanent declaration from God's side and the contract was signed for both parties by God alone. God is love. This is our hope!

Your sin is not just deleted and dragged to the recycle bin,so you can dig it out whenever you want to look at it and wear it again. It is gone.It is gone by the verdict of the supreme judge, our Heavenly Father. The blood of Jesus is completely sufficient to cleanse all of our sin, including abortion. Believing Jesus and what he has done for us is neither imagination nor illusion. It is the reality of the truth that an actual transaction occurred. God is our maker; He is the only one who can fix our problem.
