Hope for the Cancer+ Journey is a compassionate podcast dedicated to supporting the patient, survivor, and caregiver as you face the emotional, spiritual, and physical realities of a cancer diagnosis. A cancer survivor of non-smokers stage 3 lung cancer, Debbie knows the shock, sorrow, fear and trials of cancer and navigating the medical community. Through intimate interviews, practical tips, and inspiring faith based survivor stories, Debbie brings you hope, encouragement, and equipping to help you navigate the cancer journey with purpose, prayer, and power.

About Debbie Taylor Williams

Debbie Taylor Williams is the founder and president of Hill Country Ministries, a Christian non-profit ministry established 27 years ago with the mission of spreading the Word and love of Jesus. She is the author of eight books and video-driven Bible studies, including Pray with Purpose, Live with Passion, The Plan A Woman in a Plan B World, and Prayers of My Heart Praise and Prayer Journal.

A national Christian keynote speaker, Debbie founded the P.R.A.Y. with Passion Across the Nation Conference and has led conferences for women in 46 states. She is known for her vibrant, in-depth teaching and practical application of Scripture to daily life. After serving as a Bible Study Fellowship Teaching Leader for a class of 450 women, Debbie began a women’s Bible study at her church that is now in its 30th year.

Debbie has written for the Kerrville Daily Times, The Christian Post, Bible Gateway’s BGB2 blog, MomLife Today, and A Wife Like Me, and her daily 365 Days of Praise blog is read internationally. She has appeared on Life Today with James Robison, Daystar, Family Net, The Harvest Show, and numerous radio programs.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, Debbie was named Kerrville’s 2000 Woman of the Year and received the 2019 National Mother of Achievement award in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Keith, have been married for 51 years, live in Kerrville, Texas, and have two married children and five grandchildren.

After being diagnosed with stage 3 non-smoker’s lung cancer in 2024, Debbie expanded her ministry to include Hope for the Cancer+ Journey, through which she encourages those facing cancer and donates her children’s book, Rub A Dub-Dub, to children battling cancer at Ronald McDonald Houses across the United States. She launched the Hope for the Cancer+ Journey podcast in June 2026 to encourage and give hope to those on the cancer journey.
