Shaw Grigsby, the television host of the fishing program titled One More Cast, visits with Gerry at the Anglers Sports Association Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shaw shares about what one’s life is like on the bass fishing trail, and how really hard it is to be a pro angler. He also tells the story of how he came to Christ through hearing the testimony of pro fishing legend Hank Parker. Shaw relates to the listener that there is nothing that they can do that would keep Jesus Christ from allowing them to receive Him as their Lord and Savior. It is as simple as realizing you are a sinner, and having the faith to ask for forgiveness to begin a first-time relationship with the Creator God.

The CEO of Scorpyd Crossbows, Jim Kempf, shares with Gerry about how the business got started as the two tour the Coralville, Iowa factory. Jim shares how a back injury caused him to no longer be able to shoot his bow. He decided to put his innovative talents towards producing a silent crossbow that has limbs reversed from the standard design that one would see produced by other manufacturers. Jim gives credit for all his inventive talents to Jesus Christ.

Gerry visits with Alan Pine of Full Struttin’ Taxidermy located just outside of Chillicothe, OH. Alan talks of his rebellious years as he was growing up, and how he got involved in rock and roll music as a way to escape. He also relates a time when he decided to imitate what he saw a rock star do by lighting himself on fire and wound up in the hospital. The two discuss how Alan came to Christ and now uses his music, both with the violin and the bagpipes, to produce nothing but sounds that glorify the Creator Lord. Alan specializes in taxidermy of game birds and shares how he got started in this area.

Bill shares how he got started on the pro bass fishing circuit, then moved into a TV program. Bill also shares the scariest time he ever had on the water when a storm hit and he and his fishing partner came very close to losing their lives.

Ken also relates how he got involved in the outdoors, his love for hunting, and how he now pursues big animals like elk with the bow and arrow. The point made here is that laughter is a gift from God, and can be used to tear down barriers unsaved people have in order to share the truth that Jesus Christ loves them very much!

Also discussed is how Ken, Joni’s husband, is using fishing as a way of reaching out to men who need Jesus, or need their relationship with the Creator God brought to a deeper level. Additionally, Joni tells about the special summer camps they have across the nation for physically and mentally disabled young people and adults. Her call is for men who might be willing to come along side these people and be volunteers at these summer events.
