Weekly letters from his grandmother and watching Billy Graham on TV had an impact on this outdoorsman who used to store his shotgun in the principle's office every day during hunting season. Guns and the Ten Commandments in schools- no school shootings. That was then. No guns and no Ten Commandments in schools- now we have school shootings.
