Western Christianity's great heresy is individualism. We tend to think it's me and my God. And when we come to church we think we're consuming what is on offer. This is totally opposed to the biblical worldview of what it means to be a Christian. Instead, we need to commit ourselves to intentional spiritual development.

Watching online services is not the same as attending church. We need to meet together to encourage and exhort one another. We need the fellowship and community of physically being together.

As Christians, our faith is rooted in the past events of Jesus' death and resurrection, but we also need to to focus on the future when Jesus is coming back. We need to be solidly grounded in the past but also looking forward to all he's going to do for us in the future.

There is an open door, and the name of that door is Christ. But in order to go through that door you can't be trying to go through another door too. Jesus is the only way, and there is a choice that has to be made. You may think you're losing something, but once you go through the right door, Christ and everything else is yours.

Today we are seeing a lack of understanding about what the church is and why we should meet in person. Church is not about watching something on TV, it's about gathering with God's people around God's Word.
