God has sent his Son and now the message is going out to the ends of the earth. We are a part of that story, and our lives have meaning for we are connected to the divine story of the whole universe. This gives us something to share in personal evangelism.

Culture can influence us positively, but criticizing our culture is a necessary Christian responsibility—otherwise we'll just end up imitating it. Jesus prayed that we would be in the world but not of it. This requires our minds to be shaped by the truth of the Bible and then to bring that lens to our culture.
