Some of us are better at encouragement than others. But it is critically important in church life for all of us to learn the power of encouragement, to learn to lift each other up and point each other forward, rather than tear each other down.

The human opposition in Acts is a representation of that spiritual opposition. The people in Acts pray to the sovereign God, and he moves in great power through their prayers.
