It's the broken generation . . . the hopeless generation. . . . They call them the Gen Z generation for a reason. It is the last generation. These have lost the will to continue a civilization—to get married, have children, and live in a sane world. They are homosexual. They have embraced homosexuality. They have lost interest in the nuclear family. But ultimately, they have lost hope. There is only one way to redeem this.

The revolution that destroyed our world took place in the 1960s, largely led by popular culture—movies and music. Here we examine the social, sexual, and political revolutionary fervor that marked a Proverbs 30:11-14 crowd in the 1960s and 1970s. The revolution was always intended to destroy, and destroy is what it did. But do Christian Americans realize that the destruction came by the Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, and Simon and Garfunkel? The existentialism of Jean-Paul Sartre played hardest on the pop culture icons of this era.

The corporate wokies appeared to have lost all grasp on reality at multiple levels. The free market is sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. The board room has abandoned all rationality for woke, whether it be sex change operations or the value of Apple. But how shall we then live? The world has faced crisis before, and it is facing crisis today. Worldviews matter when crisis hits. Naturalistic, atheistic, materialistic worldviews are tested and found wanting during times of crisis. They’re insufficient to bring hope or explain the basic questions of life. As we glance over the final chapter of the US economy, we witness the last-ditch efforts on the part of corporate America and the US government to keep the behemoth alive. The pitiful efforts on the part of Apple, Chevron, Bed Bath and Beyond, Visa, Discover, Nike, Cisco, Walmart, Morgan Stanley, and Home Depot looks a lot like the final chapter of the US government spending. There is an appearance of value, but less and less substance to it every day. The deficits/GDP and debt servicing are all spinning out of control, since the cycle began in 2001, and to some extent in 1980. But, where do Christians invest now? What is your best investment?
