The rapidity with which the Boy Scouts have come down after welcoming homosexuality and gender fluidity is breathtaking. The period of time between the celebration of a sin and the manifestation of the destructive effects of the sin has decreased significantly in just the last ten years. The Washington Post is concerned, and the conservative world critiques. But, why doesn’t the world talk about real solutions? There isn’t any sense in cursing the darkness, unless we are willing to start lighting candles. We light candles on this program.

We were surprised to read that the pope had switched religions. He has come out and confessed him to be a new humanist, advocating an education that puts man in the center, instead of God. He is calling for an internationalized education, quoting Hillary Clinton’s “It takes a village to raise a child.” Humanism has crept in and dominated education over 800 years, but now humanism has become the codified religion in the minds of Catholics and Protestants. However, we call for a reformation in education — placing God at the center, and Christ preeminent.

Why must EVERY Christian star who wants to make it in the big time, from Carrie Underwood to Lauren Daigle, make proper prostrations to the gods of homosexuality? Why must they pass muster on the Ellen Degeneres show? Daigle is the biggest Christian (female) star of the last twenty years—but will she stand up for Jesus Christ as Lord? Why must we shift to pronouns when we speak of the Lord in popular songs, while in the limelight of the world? Followers of Christ must be infamous. . . not famous in the eyes of the world. They must convict the world of sin, as Jesus did.

Military and police work is part of God’s ordination, and yet there are spiritual, mental, and emotional challenges involved — often after retirement. Is PTSD a real phenomenon, and what does it look like? How does one minister to men who are suffering from PTSD after a career in the military? Here is one man’s story of the intensity of real battle, the return home, and the spiritual challenges he faced.

There is one worm in the gourd, one little fly swimming around in the ointment of modern life — STI’s. The New York Times editorializes on the shame culture that still surrounds STI’s. We are reaping the whirlwind now, with the massive increase in drug deaths and STI infections. We talk about God’s redemption, as well as the physical consequences that surround a dissolute culture. What are the affects, for example, of pornography addictions on the next 25-50 years of a marriage?

High-profile divorces like Todd and Sarah Palin’s have a symbolic significance for the state of a nation. But, then there are high-profile solid marriages like that of our Vice President. Is a man’s or a woman’s marriage of more importance and significance than the government policy or political impact they tout? In a day when too many homeschool marriages, young conservative, and Christian marriages are falling apart around us, Kevin Swanson offers some tips on divorce-proofing the young marriage.

Christianity Today reports on the rise of what they call the “Plato-loving, homeschool elitists.” But, do we really want to raise elitists? Does pride and elitism really help us, at the end of the day, or is it counter productive to all that is good? We develop a little more on what Parmenides, Zeno, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Sophocles, and Euripides really taught. We pull apart their worldviews and point out that their meta-ethic and metaphysic was fundamentally flawed from the outset. The futile thinking of the Greeks destroyed their big empire in 7 years, and brought them to birth-implosions, abortion, and sexual dysfunctionality. . . sort of like the Western world today.

How do Christians influence our world today with the increase of terrorism, rising persecution for Christians, and gross immorality? Where are the Daniels, Josephs, and Esthers today? David and Jason Benham speak to their latest book “Living Among Lions” in this interview with Kevin Swanson. The Benham brothers speak of how to avoid the fear of man, and how to maintain strong convictions and compassion at the same time.

Lifeway research has found that 65% of Protestant churchgoers say they can “walk with God without other believers.” Only 9% strongly disagreed with that statement, and felt the church community was very important for their walk with God. But, what happens to an ear when it is cut off from a body? Isolation is a means of apostasy, especially in the modern age. The church has lost respect, big time. But so have pastors — they are among the most despised lot in the country today.
