Ron Paul is a Christian, a Republican, Pro-Life, and Presbyterian. And, so is Mike Pompeo. President Trump’s nomination for Secretary of State! So why is Ron Paul opposing Mike Pompeo? Two worldviews are clashing here and they are both Christian. What gives? The matter surrounds war-hawkishness. Must conservatives and Christians necessarily embracing war-hawkishness? And, is this a big deal that should separate chief friends here? Kevin Swanson brings in the more basic issues that we need to be talking about, when it comes to these political issues.

Four generations of the George H.W. Bush / Prescott Bush family supported Planned Parenthood, Title X Funding, and the Abortion Nightmare in America. Barbara Bush was typically more supportive of abortion than was her husband who is the major sponsor of Title X abortion and abortifacient funding as early as the 1970s. With the passing of Barbara Bush, this would be a good time for the nation’s religious leaders to call the Bush family to come to repentance, and to seek God’s mercy and forgiveness for their sins. Although many news sources announced that Barbara Bush went to heaven, but we are not in the place to make that call.

Planned Parenthood now exceeds the magnitude of the Nazi genocide of the 1930s and 1940s. Over 6,000,000 babies have been killed by Planned Parenthood over the last two decades. Now, the organization has a new president - a lesbian. Dawn Luguens is representative of where feminism goes. Feminism almost always heads towards lesbianism as it did with Eleanor Roosevelt and other early feminists. These are sounds of the death knell for the modern feminist/abortion movements.

The conservative Jewish commentator, Dennis Prager makes the point that whatever the left touches, it ruins. It’s the mud touch. The left is self-consciously self-destructive. It is bent on destroying the universities, art, women, and children. Nonetheless, is it really all that helpful to fight the left? Why fight some group of people who want to commit mass suicide? Wisdom says, “All that love me, hate death.” But, how do we get guys like Dennis Prager and everybody else to love Wisdom and Christ?

Shall Christians use Facebook? Does it really matter if we lose most of our privacy? What is the downside to all the major powers that be knowing our every thought, faith commitment, and moves? Do we really have anything to hide? Shall we trust governments and corporations with a great deal of power, or will they corrupt absolutely and turn tyrannical on us? Christians need to go into the Internet with much discernment. We discuss the positives and negatives. Facebook has ruined relationships, fed pride, and nurtured the worst types of conflicts. However, there may be a few useful reasons for its existence.

The biggest political news this week - the second most powerful man in America is voluntarily resigning to spend more time with his children. That may be the best news we’ve heard in 12 years from Washington DC! The rest of it is pretty much bad news, but at least somebody is straightening out his priorities! A record number of Republicans are resigning - they’re sick of it. Washington’s a lost cause, but there are a few other causes that aren’t lost causes. We go over them on this edition of the program.

For years, this magazine has stumbled 12 year old boys and 12 year old girls at the grocery checkout counter. Cosmopolitan magazine is one of the most influential forces in the country, introducing sexual license to millions upon millions of young teenage women and men. Finally, Walmart is pulling the magazine from the checkout lanes. Feminists were nervous about the magazine. They were okay with women using certain means to manipulate men and to use men. They didn’t like men using women however, by objectifying them via soft porn. What is the Christian answer to these feminists’ ploys?

We interact with Pope Francis’s reported statement that “There is no hell.” Then, we discuss the recent Pew Research on the high incidence of Christians who are divorced and/or cohabiting outside of the bonds of wedlock. Lutherans have the strongest marriages, and Roman Catholics and Pentecostals are more likely to be divorced and/or cohabiting. But, the Hindus and Muslims in America beat out the Christians big time. Why is Christianity so weak morally in comparison with Hindus? Is there something wrong with American Christianity?

Sadly, America and much of the West is missing out on the Fifth Great Awakening going on right now. What a heart breaker! While the world is seeing an amazing work of God, the church in America and the English speaking nations are largely dying, dead, lukewarm, cold, and lifeless. The problem is that America refuses to acknowledge Christ as Lord and King. The sacred-secular divide has been deadly in the West.

Christians have largely abandoned the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts for its promotion of sexual practices referred to as abominable in Scripture. Now, the USDA has issued new “guidelines” for the homosexualizing of 4-H programs in the rural areas of the nation. The problem, of course, is that what the government funds the government controls. Is it time for Christians to create all of their own programs for children?
