Censoring Christians on Upswing - Disallowing Conversions in California and Tibet

August 27, 2018

Stories of censorship for Christians abound. Christians are losing jobs more and more in the public schools. And, now California is banning all conversion attempts and opening churches and ministries up to a slew of lawsuits. Here’s a persecution workshop 101, for American Christians who will receive this amazing blessing of being persecuted for righteousness sake. Time to rejoice and be exceeding glad!

How do Christians react to the brouhahas that flare up between Fox News and CNN? As the pundits argue over whether the $375,000 paid to the prostitutes/porn stars violated the campaign finance laws, Christians should be thinking. . . Whatever happened to the fear of God? Isn’t God’s law more important than some campaign finance law? This would be a really good time for somebody to humble himself. We take a look at Nebuchadnezzar and Manasseh, who were humbled, and said, “I’m sorry. . .”

A Christian pastor from Illinois is endorsing pre-marital fornication, and resists the traditional definitions of sexual sin. This leaves us wondering when we will see Christians endorsing other sins condemned by Old Testament law.

We discuss the reasons why women obtain abortions. But, what was the role that man has played in bringing on the abortion holocaust? This part of the discussion is often neglected, and Brian Fisher from the Human Coalition helps us unpack the causes behind the “Ultimate Exploitation of Women.“

The University of Iowa has kicked the Christian group Intervarsity off the campus for their insistence that Christians lead their group. Another 38 clubs are getting the boot, because these clubs are suggesting that club leaders but agree to the propositions advocated by the group. When the university destroys the foundations for knowledge, what is left to support in these colleges? How do Christians respond to these persecutions? Compromise and concession is not the solution.

With the resignation of Bill Hybels, the Willow Creek Board, and the new Lead Pastor, the mothership of church growth and modern mega-churches hit the iceberg. American evangelicalism quivers. We take a little advice from our Chinese Christian brothers on this one. We have a lot of silver and gold, and plenty of bodies, bucks, and buildings. What we need is the spiritual renewal. We need to see people rising from the dead. Did American evangelicalism construct half-way houses on the road to apostasy?

Years ago, there were Christian leaders who would promote homeschooling. We remember Dr. James Dobson who would warn of public schools, as a Christian leader who used to be part of an organization called Focus on the Family. Instead of encouraging Christian families to pull their children out of the public schools, now Christian leaders are encouraging their 7 year old children to have a dialogue on transgenderism in the public schools. Is “dialogue” the right word? Besides, the foundations of the public schools and all of knowledge is more important than the transgendered restrooms.

The United States Senate issued a resolution noting that “the awful calamity which now desolates the land may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins.” A day of humiliation was called. Oops, that was on April 30, 1863. Such resolutions are rare even for churches today. It was a day in which almost everybody feared God, and quite a comparison with a day in which almost nobody fears God. How do Christians view these calamities? Why is there so little humiliation and fear of God today? How should the church respond to these calamities? These questions answered on this edition of Generations.

Can you be good Christians and have a bad worldview? They get their worldview from public school, and they get Jesus from church. We discuss why Christians are still so impressed with the public schools, while the wider public is not. Only 29% of Americans were impressed with public schools in the 2018 Gallup Poll. We also discuss the assumption that knowledge is neutral as conveyed in the public schools. Oliver Woods offers an approach to breaking the public school addiction on this edition of the program.

We take a quick look at Dinesh D’Souza’s new film, “Death of a Nation.” Was the Democratic Party behind the revival of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s? Have the modern Democrats abandoned the legacy of Woodrow Wilson, his eugenics, his racism, his socialism, and his vision for one-world-government? Or do they continue to promote that vision? While thousands of farmers are planning to escape South Africa’s class envy, social upset, racism, and confiscation of private property for freedom in Russia, we offer the real solution to these nations in self-destruct mode.
