Of all the actions we're called to as followers of Christ, the greatest of these is love. We're called to love God, love one another, and even love our enemy. In order to apply this foundational principle in our lives, we need to have a firm grasp on what love really is. What does love and the law have in common? We'll find out today on Focal Point with Mike Fabarez.

When we enter into a relationship with Jesus, we experience the joy of knowing we've been freed from our sin. But our relationship with God doesn't stop at salvation. We've got a lot of growing to do! Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez presents a brand new study in Romans 13 called, "Pursuing Holiness." Just like we develop our personal relationships, it takes time and energy to grow closer to our heavenly Father.

As followers of Christ we're called to be in the world, but not of the world. While we're first and foremost citizens of heaven, we have responsibilities as national citizens, as well. How do we distinguish between the two? Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez presents the final portion of a study called, "God's Expatriates." From voting in national elections to following the laws of the land, there's plenty in the Bible to inform our actions.

The past few years have seen remarkable political changes in America, and throughout the world. As we navigate the political ups and downs, we can trust in the unchanging truths of God's Word to guide us. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez picks up where he left off yesterday in a study called, "God's Expatriates." The Bible has a lot to say about government. It can change our perspective about political parties, and even political history!

With April 15th looming on the horizon, many of us are getting a head start on our tax returns. As we go through the tedious process, it's tempting to grumble just a bit. Before you file your tax return with the government this year, you'll want to take a look at what Jesus had to say about taxes. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez continues a study about our civic duties as followers of Christ.

When's the last time you truly paid close attention to your conscience? In some situations, we might feel a silent gnawing that something isn't quite right. Other times it's like a loud bell alerting us to avoid a harmful choice. Today on Focal Point, we'll talk about the role of our conscience when it comes to obeying the laws of the land.

Nothing gives us a sense of purpose like living to honor Christ. Whether it's showing love to our enemies, or giving to the poor, we have endless opportunities to demonstrate our trust in God. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez suggests another important way we can honor our Father, by obeying the laws of the land. Romans 13 offers helpful guidance for how to view the governing authorities as followers of Jesus.

When we turn on the news, it's not unusual to hear about battles taking place around the world. The Bible explains that global peace won't come until Christ returns. Maybe you've wrestled with the morality of war and our role as followers of Christ. Pastor Mike looks to God's Word for answers.
