Making Sure You’re Repentant, Part 2

March 8, 2016

Have you heard the expression, "I call it like I see it”? Well, before we apply this to others, we need to apply this to ourselves. The problem is, we’re all too adept at hiding our cards. Jesus said, “Why do you look at the speck that’s in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that’s in your own eye?” We all have a tendency to judge others, while denying our own flaws and failures. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez calls us to be totally honest about the problem. It’s from Pastor Mike’s new series in Romans called, Judgment Day: Making Absolutely Sure We are Ready.

When we feel guilty, we often respond in one of two ways. We either deny our sin, pushing the negative feelings under the rug and hoping they’ll just go away. Or we wallow in them, allowing guilt to define who we are. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez shows us a better way. He explains how to face our sin and draw near to God in repentance.
