Mike Fabarez: We remember Moses as one of the greatest leaders in Israel's history. But when God first called him to step up to the task, Moses was less than compliant. Like many of us, he was quick to focus on his own weaknesses, his fears, his past failures. He protested that he couldn't do the job because, at one point he said, "I'm just slow of speech."
But God, as always, was ready to supply all that was needed for what he commanded. God replied, "Who made man's mouth? Is it not I, the Lord? Now therefore go, and I'll be with your mouth."
So next time you feel reluctant, fearful, or inadequate to do what the scripture calls you to do, remember that God will provide all that is needed. Step out in faith and be obedient. God will meet you in that task.
