Mike Fabarez: Second Timothy 2:15 says, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." That well-needed reminder shows us that studying the scriptures is going to require effort, really, our best efforts, but the payoff is always worth it.
As Psalm 19:10 tells us, the result of that kind of thoughtful, diligent, sound Bible study will end up bringing us something that's sweeter than honey and more precious than gold. So, let's get excited about rolling up our sleeves, pulling up a chair, and fully engaging our minds and hearts in the rewarding work of mining God's rich word.
