Mike Fabarez: In a world filled with screens, books are often overlooked. People don't spend as much time reading books as they used to. But in my decades as a pastor, I’ve noticed that people who are thriving in the Christian life are usually busy reading good books. It’s hard to miss that connection between a mature Christian and their love for good Christian books.
I get it. After a long day, you just want to zone out and catch up on whatever you want to watch. But reading, even with that extra brainpower involved, is going to be the thing that grows our Christian life. A little extra effort brings a lot of great reward. So why not rearrange some of the furniture in your house? Find a reading nook, get a good Christian book, sit down, and watch your spiritual muscles grow.
