Mike Fabarez: Every arena of life, every discipline seems to have its own vocabulary. Whether we're talking to teammates in a sports league or coworkers in our profession, Christianity is no different.
While some of our specialized Christian vocabulary provides a nice efficient shortcut for our communication, a lot of this Christianese actually ends up being counterproductive. Remember, the people we encounter that need Christ need to hear the message of salvation clearly explained. They need it in terms they can readily grasp.
Christians shouldn't need a decoder to somehow figure out what we're trying to say by our words. So, let's make it our practice to state the truth as plainly as we can, always working to mean everything we say and saying precisely what we mean.
