Mike Fabarez: Right now, we're all surrounded by a huge spectrum of electromagnetic messengers that are carrying hundreds of radio programs, television channels, text messages, and cell phone conversations. They're unseen, but they're there and they're real. In a similar way, the Bible says we're surrounded by an unseen spiritual battle, a battle of good and evil, and it's all vying to influence our thoughts and our affections and our priorities.
The Bible says that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but we really are wrestling against cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil. God doesn't want us to be preoccupied with all of that. He doesn't want us focused on our enemy, but he does want us to armor up every single day with an effective defense. Let's be aware of those unseen realities and always be prepared for the battle at hand.
