Mike Fabarez: As you read through the Old Testament, you might find in Leviticus 25 something that looks like life's ultimate reset button. It's called the Year of Jubilee. It's when all the financial debts were canceled, all the contracts were rewritten, families got together for reunions and extended vacations. It was a great time of contemplation and, most importantly, of new beginnings.
It's clear from a passage like that, along with the rest of the Bible, that God is a God of new beginnings and fresh starts. He's in favor of that periodic reset. So, if you think you've made a colossal mess of things in your life, it's time to call out to the God of the Jubilee and ask him for a brand new start. You might be surprised at how willing and ready God is to say, "Let's just start this whole thing over."
