Focal Point Weekly Devotional
Start your week of with this 1 minute devotional from Pastor Mike Fabarez of Focal Point Radio Ministries.
Guest (Male): Here's Mike Fabarez, Bible teacher on Focal Point.
Mike Fabarez: For most of us who prefer to think of ourselves as intelligent, competent, self-reliant people, those words in Mark chapter 10 may come as a shock: that whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it. I mean, who wants to be thought of as a little kid? And yet the Bible is clear that we’re even disqualified from becoming a Christian unless we display that childlike dependence, that kid-like trust, that childlike submission.
A sense of helplessness and an utter need for our salvation is at the heart of what it means to really be repentant and put our faith in Christ. As humbling as that may feel, Jesus was clear, this is a necessary mindset for joining the people of God in the kingdom.
Guest (Male): Do you value scriptural accuracy? Are you hungry for the whole truth? Well, get ready to explore and proclaim the depths of scripture with Pastor Mike Fabarez on Focal Point. Hear Pastor Mike's half-hour Bible program on this station, and listen online at focalpointradio.org.
