Mike Fabarez: We've all heard the saying, "If it feels good, do it." Certainly, our world and all the social media sites seem to foster this kind of idea, whether it's indulging in some kind of physical pleasure or promoting just a worship of a god who's always about us feeling good.
We've got to recognize the arbiter of truth is not how we feel about anything. It really is about how things square with scripture. Certain notions about God, they may tickle our ears, as it's put in the Bible. It may sound pleasant, but at the same time, it'll produce a tragic outcome.
So don't embrace these clichéd platitudes or create some kind of imaginary theological world that has nothing to do with the God that really is. Instead, let us hold tenaciously to the word of truth.
