Today on The Dwelling Place, pastor Al Pittman heads back to Romans thirteen. It’s there we’re commanded to get rid of the things that hinder our walk and witness of the Lord Jesus. The list of things that distract us is practically endless, and it seems to be growing every day. We need to be living in light of the promised soon return of Jesus. It’s time to wake up, to clean up and to grow up!

With all the disharmony in the world and even in the Church - is there any answer? Can we live in harmony? We certainly can, but only by the power of God’s love. So what gets in the way of us exploiting God’s power to love one another? For starters pride hinders the kind of love that’s required. For love is not partial. Today’s message from pastor Al is so vitally important, because as we look around us, we can see a world that is seriously lacking in brotherly love.

Last time we covered a good portion of chapter twelve, and we were encouraged to be a healthy body of believers. Right on the heels of that admonition, the apostle Paul goes on to speak about loving without hypocrisy, and abhorring what is evil. Pastor Al will show us today just how important it is that we displayed Godly love to not only one another, but to those who persecute us as well.

In this chapter, Paul not only teaches us how to effectively live out our faith in a world that is often hostile to the Gospel message, but he also provides us with some great insight into how to interact with one another as fellow believers in the body of Christ.
