Todaywe begin a series in the book of Revelation. Revelation is an often times misunderstood and a neglected book. It can be daunting, to say the least, but as we go verse by verse through these chapters, I think you’ll come away with a new found knowledge and appreciation for it.  And you’ll walk away from it learning a great deal about Jesus and who He is!

After several months of study in the glorious book of Romans, we finish it all up today.  And talk about finishing on a high note... it couldn’t get any higher than the glory of God.  In the closing verses we find a wonderful doxology that spotlights God’s wisdom and glory.  And through it all, Al will ask us, “Is the glory of God the theme of our lives?”  Pastor Al will also give us some important tips on recognizing false teaching - which is an enormous concern in the year 2019

We’re on the final leg of our journey through Romans, as we’ve reached the sixteenth and final chapter of the book.  Maybe in your personal study of the chapter, you sort of just skimmed through the list of names and greetings here.  After all, Paul mentions thirty three people by name in the chapter.  Most of them we know very little about.  Well pastor Al doesn’t want us to miss Paul’s love for people that comes shining through in this passage.

Today on The Dwelling Place, we’ll examine the best way to communicate with God the Father, through our representative, Jesus Christ. Pastor Al Pittman is currently sharing a series in the awesome book of Romans and today we again look at chapter fifteen, and how we display our faith in God through prayer.

I guess when you break prayer down to it’s bare essence, what we’re doing is talking with God. But as with so many other parts of our relationship with God, there is a right way and a wrong way to pray. Do you know the difference? Too many people have the wrong motivation when they pray. Should we be trying to bet God too see things our way..... or should it be the other way around?

Bible scholars consistently rank Romans in the top three or four most significant books in the bible, and one of the reason is it’s practicality. These words were written two millenniums ago, yet are spot on for Christian living in 2019. As we again look at the ways our faith can minister to others, pastor Al will talk about benevolence - being kind and generous to others. What a great witness that is!

Today we continue our look at Romans fifteen. Pastor Al will spend the next four broadcasts discussing the ways we can use our faith to minister to others. First of all, we can be benevolent. That’s a word that isn’t used a lot these days, but the dictionary defines benevolence as being “well-meaning and kindly”. How does that translate to a demonstration of our faith? Let’s find out!

We are definitely nearing the finish line in our series through this wonderful book, and today we will be in chapter fifteen, verses twenty-two through twenty-five. The providence of God is the topic, and we certainly live in a world where God’s all encompassing power is questioned and rejected by many people. Well, the fact is, mankind’s opinion about God’s providence has nothing to do with the fact that God is in control of everything!

Planning is a good idea in the Christian life, as we’ll  see today on The Dwelling Place.  As we open Romans fifteen, the apostle Paul is about to lay out his plans for future ministry . Pastor Al Pittman has noticed a few principles we can glean from God’s providence in our lives, and he’ll share those momentarily.  We’re getting close to the finish line here in our study of Romans.  No travel guide is needed for this trip, just an open Bible and an open heart to allow the Spirit to lead.

Miracles, signs and wonders are sought after - but too often not the greatest of miracles - and that is a saved and changed life - a wasted life changed into a new and fruitful life is even a greater work!! So how is that accomplished? We’ll find out today on The Dwelling Place. Today’s message is titled “Life Pertaining To God”.

You can focus on a lot of different things and meet a lot of different needs - but what is man’s greatest need? Shouldn’t that be our focus?  Today we’ll be reminded that all ministry is by grace and is to be centered in the gospel. As we’ve seen so many times in recent years, straying from the truth is a commonplace occurrence.
