We’re about halfway through the tumultuous happenings found in chapter eighteen. The antichrist and the false prophet and those who have chosen to follow them have had their day in the sun, so to speak, and now it’s time to bring this terrible chapter in human history to a close.

In Revelation eighteen, the anti-christ has had his way with mankind and now it’s time for him to get his just rewards. There will be many, many people who will suffer terrible consequences in the verses we’ll study. They’ll suffer because they bought into Satan’s lies.

There are only two real religions in this world - the kind made by man, and the kind made by God - Christianity. As we study Revelation seventeen today, keep that in mind, because as we see the judgment of Mystery Babylon, we see the results of mankind's decision to follow and worship the antichrist instead of Jesus Christ.

There’s no question that society today continues to sink to new lows when it comes to sin and the acceptance of sin. It’s another sign that we’re living in the last days, and today we’ll begin a look at Revelation chapter seventeen and the continuing judgment of man by God during the tribulation period.

If you were with us last time, you’ll remember Pastor Al began a message based on Revelation chapters fifteen and sixteen. Satan is fighting his last fight, and although he knows he must lose, he fights on. After this battle comes the final destruction of the earth. It’s frightening to think about it isn’t it? Well, as believers, we won’t be around for the terror, so take comfort in that fact

Revelation chapter fifteen is the shortest chapter in all of Revelation, but it is here that we read an introduction to the final outpouring of God’s judgment upon the earth. Now while this in an ominous chapter,  we must not miss the hope, joy and singing that is here too.

In the end times a lot of people will be duped by the antichrist and his cohort the false prophet, and today we'll begin to see the consequences of that deceit. It may not be politically correct, but it's scripturally correct, and that's what matters.

Today our teacher, Pastor Al Pittman will move along in his verse by verse examination of Revelation to chapter fourteen. In the past several chapters of Revelation we've seen destruction and suffering at an unprecedented scale, but here in chapter fourteen, we get a glimpse of the winner of the war, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We're going to continue Pastor Al's in depth look at the book of Revelation today as we look at chapter thirteen, and we're going to be introduced to one of the leading characters in the end times.... the beast of the earth, also known as the False Prophet. We've already become acquainted with the Antichrist, and the false prophet will be his right hand man as they seek to deceive the world into submission.

We’ve reached an important and controversial point in our study of Revelation today, when we’ll begin a study of chapter thirteen. Here we get a glimpse of the coming global leader, also known as the antichrist. This person who will commandeer the reigns of world power will have very distinct characteristics, and it certainly can’t hurt us to know what they are.
