The Finality Of Divine Wrath part 2

November 11, 2019

In history there have been some memorable battles,  but the battle of Armageddon will out strip every one of them for destruction and bloodshed. Satan is fighting his last fight, and although he knows he must lose, he fights on. After this battle comes the final destruction of the earth.

Our journey through Revelation is nearing the point of the Grand Finale, and Pastor Al Pittman has set aside the next two broadcasts as a way to introduce it to Revelation chapter fifteen.  It is the shortest chapter in all of Revelation, but it is here that we read an introduction to the final outpouring of God’s judgment upon the earth. Now while this in an ominous chapter, Al says we must not miss the hope, joy and singing that is here too.

We live in an age of "tolerance" which on the surface seems innocent enough, but tolerance today means anything and everything is acceptable, no matter how depraved and sinful it may be. In the end times a lot of people will be duped by the antichrist and his cohort the false prophet, and today we'll begin to see the consequences of that deceit. It may not be politically correct, but it's scripturally correct, and that's what matters.

Pastor Al Pittman will move along in his verse by verse examination of Revelation to chapter fourteen. In the past several chapters of Revelation we've seen destruction and suffering at an unprecedented scale, but here in chapter fourteen, we get a glimpse of the winner of the war, the Lord Jesus Christ. Today and tomorrow we'll also revisit the topic of the one hundred forty four thousand. Who are they, where are they, and why are they here? Those are among the questions pastor Al will answer as we study Revelation chapter fourteen.

We're going to continue Pastor Al's in depth look at the book of Revelation today as we look at chapter thirteen, and we're going to be introduced to one of the leading characters in the end times.... the beast of the earth, also known as the False Prophet. We've already become acquainted with the Antichrist, and the false prophet will be his right hand man as they seek to deceive the world into submission.

We’ve reached an important and controversial point in our study of Revelation today, when we’ll begin a study of chapter thirteen. Here we get a glimpse of the coming global leader, also known as the antichrist. This person who will commandeer the reigns of world power will have very distinct characteristics, and it certainly can’t hurt us to know what they are.

The book of Revelation is about one thing..... Jesus Christ and His power, His glory and His soon coming return to this earth. Before the millennial kingdom of the Lord is established, there are a series of events that must take place. Among them is satan’s battle for power... a battle that remarkably takes place not on earth, but in Heaven.

As we continue our study through Revelation on the program today we’ve reached chapter twelve.  We’re going to learn about one of the great battles of all time.. one that’s been fought since the beginning of time and one that continues today. It’s the battle for control between satan and God. One interesting aspect of this battle, is that we already know who’s going to win! So why would satan put up such a fight when he knows he cannot possibly prevail?

The last part of Revlation chapter eleven provides a chance to step back. We’re at a point about halfway through the Great Tribulation - a time of unprecedented destruction and suffering. In Chapter eleven -  we will learn about the third woe, or the seventh trumpet judgment. And this results in a point where God is worshipped.

Today we look at Revelation chapter ten, and after the destruction and loss of life we saw in chapter nine, chapter ten is a chance to catch our breath and meet a big Angel with a little book. There has been much speculation over the years as to the identity of this Angel. In fact, many Biblical scholars think it may very well be Jesus Christ himself. Pastor Al will discuss that possibility and many other interesting aspects of this chapter on today’s program.

If you saw a headline that said one third of the world’s population was being killed, would you believe it? Well, as we’ll find out today, it’s going to happen, because the Bible says so, in Revelation chapter nine. It’s a sad time, and yet we as believers can take heart in knowing that through God’s Grace, we won’t be there to suffer through it.
