Joshua twenty-four, verse fifteen contains the well-known words, “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”. Is there any better way to live than that?

On today’s broadcast we will hear the Apostle Paul’s testimony and defense before the Jews. Turn in your Bible to Acts chapter twenty two. It’s there we find the apostle Paul finally given his long awaited opportunity to share Jesus with his fellow country men, the Jews. And isn’t it instructive that he does so with his testimony.

Today we continue with Al’s verse by verse series through Joshua. We are nearing the end of our series, and today as we look at chapter twenty-one, we see a long list of property that was given by Joshua to other people groups. Why is this important? We’ll find out today.

Today we’ll continue pastor Al’s series through Joshua, and the topic today will be complacency. That’s a very dangerous word. There’s no doubt that complacency played a role in the terror attacks in 2001. That’s an extreme example, but complacency in the Christian life can be dangerous as well. Turn to the book of Joshua as we join pastor Al Pittman for today’s study

Today, Pastor Al takes us back to the Old Testament book of Joshua. In chapters fifteen through twenty, we see, among other things, a complaint from the Israelites and Joshua’s reply. The Canaanites were an enemy of Israel, and Joshua urged his people to drive them out of the land. Pastor Al will show us how the Canaanites are much like sin. Sin is our enemy and it must be driven out of our lives.

Today we’ll return to pastor Al’s verse by verse study through Acts, with a stop in chapter twenty two. With all the “Judge” shows on TV and all of the high profile criminal trials we see going on, we’re made aware of the importance of a good defense. Here in Acts twenty two, Paul puts on an eloquent defense of his ministry and beliefs, even though he doesn’t have a law degree!

Following God’s will is a tough thing, isn’t it? In the first place, we often times don’t know what God’s will is. Then, we wonder what God must be thinking if He really thinks I can do what He wants me to do! Here in Joshua fifteen, we again are reminded that God’s will is the best way to go – and seeking it is what we should always be doing.
