Remnant of God’s Faithfulness Part 2

February 5, 2019

The nation of Israel was re-established in 1948. We can clearly see that in the year 2019, much of Israel has rejected Jesus as Messiah. We read in the bible that God has temporarily set the nation of Israel aside, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.  At that time, all Israel will be saved.  Romans eleven will emphasize this glorious truth, that God isn’t done with the Jews.

Pastor Al Pittman is in the middle of a study in Romans, and the plan today is to spotlight chapter eleven. In chapter ten, we were talking about Israel’s stubborn refusal to believe in Christ, and so a logical question on the heals of that is, “Is God through with them as a nation?”  Far from it.  The Lord has a wonderful plan to reach Israel, and chapter eleven makes that clear to us.

Today on The Dwelling Place we revisit Romans ten. You can be sure that if you share the Gospel regularly, you’ll encounter opposition and rejection.  But rather than enter into an unproductive argument, or be discouraged away from sharing the message pastor Al Pittman will help us understand the opposition and why most people refuse to believe. Sharing God’s peace with others is just one of the precepts Al will share today, in a message titled “Peace In Troubled Times”.

Today on The Dwelling Place, pastor Al Pittman continues his study of Romans. In chapter ten, we see Paul taking about the danger of being zealous for the wrong reasons - and those would be any reasons not associated with sharing God’s love and His truth. What we see is the desire of Paul to see his Jewish brothers saved. Again we’ll be in Romans chapter ten, but Al starts today’s message with a quick glance at Luke seven.

Today on The Dwelling Place, with pastor Al Pittman. We are going to begin a look at Romans chapter ten - a chapter that helps us understand that we need to submit to God in all His glory. Submission is not an easy thing to do for human beings, but it is essential if we are to have a right relationship with God.

We’re going to complete our look at Romans nine today. When Paul wrote this letter, there was a huge cultural divide between Jews and Gentiles.  The majority of the Jews were dead set against Gentiles being included in God’s plan of salvation. But thanks be to the Lord that His grace is extended to all. Unfortunately, that great divide still exists today, in many areas. Our scripture reference is Romans nine.

Today's message from pastor Al Pittman is based in Romans chapter nine. If we’re being honest with ourselves, most of us would probably admit that there have been times in our lives when we’ve questioned God’s methods. “God, why did you do that?”. As we look to Scripture, we see that we are not alone. Many people have wondered why God made certain choices concerning their lives - only to find that it all fit into His grand plan and that everything happens exactly how it’s supposed to happen.

You’re listening to The Dwelling Place with pastor Al Pittman, the senior pastor at Calvary Worship Center in Colorado Springs. Today we zero in on Romans nine, which details Israel’s unbelief and God’s sovereignty in election. The sovereignty of God is something that a lot of people don’t completely understand. But when we understand that God does indeed hold everything and everyone in His hands, it should be a source of great comfort! Here’s Pastor Al.

Our pastor and teacher is Al Pittman and today pastor Al will continue our study of the Book of Romans. Having just wrapped up chapter eight, we are now officially halfway through Romans and we’ll begin chapter nine here today. In this chapter, Paul hits on a few truths that may surprise you. In addition to some great, practical advice for us today, we’ll be touching on God’s incredible sovereignty and what it means to us.  Some might say this is like opening a can of worms, but as we turn to Romans nine it’s actually more like opening an ocean of grace.

You’re listening to The Dwelling Place, a ministry of Calvary Worship Center in Colorado Springs and we’ll be joined by pastor Al Pittman in a moment. God’s love is greater than our minds can grasp, but can anything separate us from it?  That’s the question as we head back to Romans. Here’s pastor Al to begin our final message in Romans chapter eight.
January 23, 2019
Today we’re in Romans chapter eight, verses twenty eight through thirty-nine and we’ll be discussing the methods that God uses to bring about His desired results within us. We may not always understand what He’s doing, but as followers of Christ, we choose to trust Him. Pastor Al has given this message an interesting title - “The Buoyancy of Faith”. Trying to stay afloat in the trouble times we live in isn’t always easy, is it?
