Psalm 51

Psalm fifty-one was written in direct response to David’s moral failure with Bathsheba. You know, many people today try to explain away their sin. But God wants us to come clean, and agree with Him. Our series is in the Psalms, but today, pastor Al will spend most of our time together in Second Samuel eleven, as we look at the facts behind what went on that night when David saw Bathsheba taking a bath.

What a marvelous scene we see depicted in the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem! Plot, movement, atmosphere, emotion – they’re all here. High drama at its very best! An innocent man is about to be murdered! And it’s even more shocking because we know that God knows it’s going to happen and does nothing to stop it.
