Phillip's Divine Appointment

God is not only interested in changing us for the better and fitting us for eternity, but also influencing those around us. Today, we’ll see one of the ways the Lord does that. In Acts chapter eight, Philip is directed by the Lord to leave a thriving ministry to reach just one man. Philip’s obedience in following the Lord’s leading is inspiring.

Today we will continue our study through the book of Acts. with a look at chapter four. This was a time of great growth in the early Christian church, and two of the leaders of that early church, Peter and John, are just now being released from jail after being arrested for preaching the Gospel. The reaction they see when they return to their church is another example of the Holy Spirit’s presence.
