If there ever was a society that makes patience an endangered attribute, it’s ours. But the Bible tells us that we must wait patiently on the Lord, because He has a plan and a time for each of us. Waiting in line - whether at the DMV or the Grocery Store, requires patience. So does a prosperous relationship with God, because God’s timing is perfect, and man’s patience is not always there.

Pilots have a fixed point of reference when they fly, in order to stay on course. As Christians, we have a fixed point of reference too, as we seek to stay on the right course.  So, are you staying.... or straying?

What is it that defines an authentic person? If your talking about a doctor, he or she has a diploma, has the correct tools to use, and knows how to use them. What then defines an authentic Christian? When you find yourself in times of trouble, do you remember to seek the Lord’s guidance? Is it the first thing you think to do? That’s a real mark of an authentic Christian.

You don’t have to look too long these days to find examples of horrible crimes committed against innocent people. The numerous mass shootings. Yet, no matter what the act, no matter how terrible, if the person who commits them asks God to forgive them with a repentant heart and receives salvation through Jesus Christ - they’re going to Heaven. That truth is a little hard to grasp, isn’t it?
