Are you a history buff? There are a lot of them around. Apparently Asaph was a history buff as well, because in Psalm seventy-eight, he gives us a review of the history of Israel. He does this to point out just how patient and loving God is toward man, despite our history of disobedience.

It’s a Psalm of Asaph that expresses frustration with God’s people, as they continually show an inability to trust God, despite the evidence before them. Obviously, this is a message that is very relevant today. We see it all around us - the obvious evidence of God’s presence, and the obvious rejection of that evidence.

It isn’t always easy to find - especially in Washington D.C., because the people who tell us they’re trustworthy often are lying when they tell us! I’m sure you’ve seen the footage of our incredible weaponry at work. If you lined up every weapon we’ve ever used in every war, they wouldn’t come close to matching the power of God.
