Today on The Dwelling Place, pastor Al Pittman continues his Christmas series by taking another look at the greatest act of love ever displayed. God sent His one and only precious son to earth, to be born in a manger… and to ultimately die on a cross for our sins. If you’re looking for a definition of love, that’s the best one you can find!

This is a time of year when a lot of people feel unloved and forgotten. Pastor Al will bring us a message from his Christmas series today called “A Message Of Love”. There is no love like the love God has for us. He sacrificed His only son so that we might be saved from our sin.

Pastor Al began our Christmas series yesterday, with part one of a message titled “Consolation Of Eternal Hope”. Are you feeling hopeless today? This is a time of year when a lot of people feel hopeless. Loneliness especially can bring about feelings of hopelessness. But if you are a child of God - a born again believer in Jesus Christ, you are never alone and you have eternal hope in Jesus!

Over the next eight broadcasts, we are going to take an in depth look at what the birth of Christ meant for a world in desperate need of a savior. Al has divided this series into four aspects of Christ’s presence in our lives - Eternal Hope, Eternal love, Eternal joy and Eternal peace. We’ll start today with Eternal hope, and the life of a man named Simeon.

Today, pastor Al Pittman continues his study of Galatians, and has us turn to the fifth chapter. It’s here that the apostle Paul combats the legalists of his day with the message of God’s grace.
December 13, 2019
As we go along in this section of Galatians, we’ll receive a very strong but needed warning not to pursue self-righteousness. Paul wrote this letter to a group of Jews who just couldn’t accept that the gospel message was intended for Gentiles as well. God’s grace is available to every person - and hallelujah to that! We will finish up Galatians four today, and begin chapter five.
December 12, 2019
Today, we’ll observe God opening and closing doors for His children, and specifically the apostle Paul.  God sovereignly orchestrates the events of our lives, and that can be a great comfort to know.  Pastor Al will take us to Galatians chapter four.
December 11, 2019
Today, we begin a new chapter in our series through Galatians on The Dwelling Place, as we begin an examination of chapter four. Pastor Al Pittman will urge us to live by faith. Easier said than done? Perhaps, but it should be the goal of ebery Christian.
December 10, 2019
If we look at God’s law as a set of rules to follow in oder to get to heaven, we miss then point. We cannot obey the law perfectly, and the law points that out to us, so we must turn to faith in Christ for our salvation. Today on The Dwelling Place Pastor Al Pittman will elaborate as he continues his study of Galatians.
December 9, 2019
The law of God has no power to prevent sin - or redeem the sinner. Only grace can do that. That’s our theme on today’s The Dwelling Place with pastor Al Pittman.  The churches in Galatia had been deceived by false teachers, who had convinced them that they could be saved by works rather than grace.

Al was born in Panama City, Florida in 1955. His father was a career soldier, so the family traveled extensively. In 1973, when Al was seventeen years old, the family returned from a tour in Germany and settled in Colorado Springs. Soon after, Al realized God’s call on  his life and began serving in the music ministry as a bass guitarist with a Christian band  called, “The Rays of Light.” It was during this time that Al met Norma, and they were married on July 19, 1975.

Al attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Biblical Studies. In 1991 Al and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two years later he joined the staff of Calvary Chapel Albuquerque as an assistant pastor and co-worship leader. In the spring of 1997 the Lord called Al and his family back to Colorado Springs to pastor Calvary Worship Center. In 2006, Al earned his Master’s degree and in 2012 he earned his Doctorate degree in Ministry from Trinity Southwest University in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Al and Norma are the proud parents of three children, Renee, Nathan and Reggie, as well as proud grandparents.
