When the Weight Is Too Much
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah. God is to us a God of deliverances; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death” (Psalm 68:19-20).
Guest (Male): Welcome to Seeds of Revelation! Today's short devotional is presented by Cynthia Schneider.
Cynthia Schneider: Shalom. It's a good day. The Lord's on the throne, so all is well. I don't care what's going on around you right now, all is well. Abba Father is on the throne. Yeshua is on the throne at the right side of the Father, so all is well.
Today, I want to take us into the reality of that when we read Psalm 68, verses 19 and 20. If you have your Bible, open it up. Psalm 68:19 and 20. The first part, he says, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Selah." And Selah means that we're to pause. I want you to pause right now and think about a burden that you may have right now. Is there anything weighing on your soul, on your heart, on your mind that God wants you to bring to Him right now?
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden. I've told my story before where the Holy Spirit showed me that He's like a donkey right at my side. He said, "Whenever you want, throw that weight of a burden on my back and I will carry it." And that's what Yeshua says today. God is to us a God of salvation, and to God the Lord belong ways of escape from death.
Maybe it's not death today for you, but He's got the way of escape. You serve a supernatural God and He wants you to take that burden, whatever it is, whatever thoughts are weighing on you. He wants you to stop, take note of them, and put them on His back.
Thank you, Abba Father. You are our supernatural redeemer and savior. We trust in You with all our heart. Show Your glory today to Your sons and daughters. Show Your glory. Reveal that You are going before them. You are the Lion of Judah. You are the powerful Lion that goes before them. You are the burden bearer and You are the Lion going before them to separate the seas, to part the seas, to part the problems, and to make a way for you today. Amen.
