The Holy Spirit Showed Me What My Nightmares Meant
Even when life feels heavy and filled with chaos, there’s always one truth that brings light to the darkness: “But God.”

Cynthia Schneider: Shalom! I don't know if you dream a lot or remember your dreams. I occasionally remember my dreams, but recently I have been remembering dreams every single night, which is unusual for me. What I have been noticing is that there's been a pattern. When there's a pattern, I know that the Holy Spirit is trying to get a message to me. I want to share with you the message I felt, the takeaway that the Holy Spirit gave me.
In the dream, so many times, the dreams are filled with doom, gloom, and chaos. A lot of times they feel kind of gray. There might be accusations, or there might be me just striving to get where I need to get to. I'll wake up and then I'll seek the Lord: "Oh Lord, what's Your message to me?"
Finally, after a series of these nightmare dreams that I woke up with, the Holy Spirit spoke to me very clearly. "Listen, you are in the world. What you experience is the spirit of the air of this world. There's doom, gloom, chaos, accusation, and condemnation. But did you notice that in those dreams, they were devoid of Me?"
The truth is, when you wake up, remember that you are not alone. I am with you. But God! Every time you have dreams and you wake up and maybe you don't feel so good, remember: but God. Your life has God. The dreams don't have God, but you have God. You have hope. In Ephesians 6, it tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spirit and principalities.
It's so beautiful to wake up and know we have God, we have hope, and we have the resources of heaven. We have supernatural resources to overcome every problem and to navigate the way. God is going to complete the good work He's begun in you. The gates of hell won't prevail against you. So be encouraged. But God, when you wake up in the morning.
