The Hidden Barriers Blocking Your Prayer Life

When it feels like heaven is silent, don’t lose heart. God is still near, waiting for you to draw close again.

Cynthia Schneider: Shalom. We are up here in the beauty of God's presence right here in the mountains of Colorado. The other day Rabbi was trying to use his cell phone. He was trying to talk to his fellow minister of the Gospel and he was having trouble with the connection. He said, "Oh, I'm so sorry my brother, I can't hear you. My cell service is poor." All of a sudden, when I heard him say that, I thought that is just so much like how I feel sometimes when I'm trying to talk to the Lord or when I'm trying to feel His presence or maybe I'm waiting for Him to give an answer to a question I have and it seems like He's far away.

The Lord spoke to me and said, "Sometimes there are mountains between you and me. There are barriers between you and me and the cell connection, the communication connection isn't always clear." He said that's okay, it's all right and it's normal. You are in the world and the connection isn't always clear. Sometimes there are mountains of obstructions. Maybe there is some sin that I need to take care of in my heart. Maybe there is something that I need to take to Him and put it at the cross so that I then have better access and better communication with the Father.

There are things that the Lord wants us to take to Him and surrender to Him. There are deeper layers of something more that He wants us to submit to Him and lay before Him, maybe go to the cross and release whatever it is: the worries, the concerns, and the places we've failed so that we have a better connection. The mountain is removed and the connection of communication with the Father improves. The Lord just gave me a peace. He wants us to know it's okay, there's nothing wrong. It's a part of our life here on earth right now because we dwell in a world with many distractions and it's okay. Because He's right there and by the blood of Jesus we get back into connection and we can feel His presence and hear His word for the day.

The article explains that controlling one’s speech is key to directing one’s spiritual life, using biblical imagery like a bridle and rudder to show the power of the tongue. It warns against four harmful patterns; excessive talking, careless words, negativity, and criticism, that can lead to personal and spiritual harm. By practicing intentional, positive, and restrained speech, a person can cultivate inner strength, peace, and spiritual growth.

Central to the LORD’s plan is Israel and the Jewish people.  Romans 11:11 explains that the Gentile believer has been chosen by God to bring the witness of the LORD to the Jewish people.  As this message of Yeshua is brought back to, and received by, the Jewish people, they will say, “Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai” – “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD!” and in so doing, usher in Yeshua’s return (Matthew 23:39).

Through understanding the Old Testament and its prophetic nature, with Yeshua as its fulfillment, the viewer’s faith is strengthened, increased relationship and intimacy with the LORD is discovered, and an end-times vision of life is crystallized.  “Discovering The Jewish Jesus” is an end-times ministry, strengthening the church and calling her to be a readied bride for the return of the Bridegroom, Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus The Messiah).
